Manager, Logistics: About This Role

Our Manager, Logistics, plays a vital role in ensuring the highest quality and safety standards of our pharmaceutical products. Once you complete our training, your responsibilities will include operations from receipt to issuance to production and customer order picking and distribution. The Logistics Manager is accountable for both physical and book inventory accuracy and control, as well as effective process flows customer order picking, distribution, and storage optimization. It encompasses receipt of material, put-away, material transfers and issuance of materials in support of the production operations as well as processing of customer orders in terms of picking, packing and shipping. What the Manager, Logistics Does Each Day:

  • Responsible for all incoming, outgoing, and warehouse movements of materials; Ensures materials shipped & received are verified against proper documentation, and ERP system is kept updated
  • Ensures production operations have production materials in accordance with established schedules and provide routine communication on status
  • Works with Purchasing and Planning to reduce risk associated with material availability resulting from inventory inaccuracies and drives resolves of any unplanned inventory discrepancies
  • Establishes performance and inventory metrics aligned with company objectives and production operations requirements
  • Establishes effective relationships with transportation providers to drive exceptional customer satisfaction while achieving company objectives associated with monthly, quarterly, and yearly budgets
  • Optimizes Quva's investment in material across the manufacturing network
  • Leads customer order processing operations through delivery at customer dock right first time, on time in full by partnering with Customer Service, Quality Lot Disposition, and transportation providers
  • In partnership with Finance and IT, develops a comprehensive inventory tracking system to continuously improve and streamline material storage and usages
  • Establishes and implements cycle counting programs and coordinate year-end physicals and for cause physical inventory counts conducting root cause investigation into identified differences
  • Is proficient in warehouse management systems and technologies including barcoding, vendor management inventory techniques, Kanban systems, inventory reconciliation and analysis methods in conjunction with warehouse layouts, equipment, and personnel flow, picking techniques and storage configurations to facilitate effective and efficient operations and space utilization
  • Performs ERP system transactions and exception-based reporting to achieve internal and external customer service and inventory management goals, managing tracking systems and acting as a liaison to other departments
  • Maintains working relationships both internally and with external transportation representatives, vendors, and suppliers to ensure reliability, cost control, competitiveness and service levels. Identifies opportunities for streamlining flows, standardizing processes, and gaining efficiency and effectiveness
  • Devises ways to optimize and implement inventory control procedures during business growth in parallel with the required daily activity levels in support of production operations
  • Oversees, monitors, and verifies inventory levels to proactively prevent material shortages
  • Leverages ERP functionality to monitor inventory usage, replenishment and space utilization based on characteristics of inventory including special temperature conditions and access controls to proactively assure sufficient material and space in support of best-in-class sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing

Minimum Requirements for this Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, or related field
  • 5+ years of inventory, distribution, and operational procedures, with 3+ years in related managerial/leadership role and supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business and collaborative relationships, internally and externally
  • Proven ability to adapt and manage effectively in fast paced, changing environment

  • Able to successfully complete a drug and background check
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Quva is not able to sponsor applicants for work visas

  • The base compensation for this role is estimated to be within the range described below. The compensation offered may vary depending on relevant factors such as experience, skills, training, education, certifications, geographic location, and market conditions
  • Range: $85,993 - $118,240 Annually
  • This position is bonus eligible based on set criteria
