Your New Role...
As a Live Production CoE Manager at Warner Bros Discovery's News, Sports, and Entertainment Live Production centers in Atlanta, Georgia, you will be a key leader responsible for overseeing the convergence of information technology and broadcast engineering technology. Your primary focus will be on supporting the designated Center of Excellences and their respective Leads and team members, you will align technology with short and long-term business goals. You will participate in strategy development with clients and partners, leveraging cross-divisional engineering expertise to deliver comprehensive products and services that support company objectives.

The Live Production Manager will manage their team:

The Live Production CoE Manager is a self-directed expert in designing, building, configuring, automating, maintaining, and providing advanced support for the movement and transformation of video in a 24x7x365 live news, sports, and entertainment production environment.

The Live Production CoE Manager translates business requirements into functional requirements and specifications, producing systems that meet business needs through the assembly of existing hardware, new hardware, networking and software components, interfacing as needed with automation, monitoring and logging tools. They spare no detail in attention to availability, performance, capacity planning, and security.

They frequently work with operational partners who specify the business needs, software developers, who focus on code authoring; systems architects, who focus on large scale system relationships; business analysists, who gather business requirements; and vendors, who create many of the products Lead Systems Engineers use. The CoE's are expected to produce novel solutions to problems, not merely to execute procedures developed by others and your role in managing them is vital to the success of the teams.

Your Role Accountabilities...

This role is responsible for long range project planning, budgeting and execution. You will work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and project teammates to prioritize, schedule and deliver exceptional technical solutions, while providing expert guidance to meet challenging deadlines. As a hands-on leader, you will remove obstacles, assist with budgeting, and play a pivotal role as a technical designer, ensuring the team develops innovative solutions that align with project goals. Your strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills will be critical in fostering a culture of excellence, empowering team members' growth, and driving the successful execution of complex projects.

Your role will involve providing enhanced oversight and guidance to the day-to-day operation of the relevant Warner Bros Discovery's Live Production Centers of Excellence, leading a team of skilled professionals to make informed technical decisions to deliver production requirements and protect our on-air brands. Constantly striving for excellence, you will evaluate the departmental workflow, identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
