LOUIS, MO - HQThe Manager of Labor & Employee Relations is the bridge between leadership and employees, ensuring that workplace relationships are healthy, productive, and aligned with our values. Your expertise will help us navigate labor agreements, resolve conflicts, and maintain compliance while keeping our people at the heart of every decision.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:Any exceptions to the following must be approved by the Interviewing Manager.
- 5+ years of experience in employee relations, labor relations, Human Resources, or a related leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience managing employee concerns, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Strong working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and applicable labor and employment laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to balance organizational objectives with employee needs while maintaining consistency and fairness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Included in position but not limited to:
- Serve as a primary resource for employees and managers regarding employee and labor relations matters.
- Advise leaders on performance management, conflict resolution, corrective action, workplace concerns, and other employee relations issues.
- Conduct thorough and impartial workplace investigations and provide recommendations for appropriate resolution.
- Administer and maintain documentation related to FMLA, applicable state leave requirements, and ADA accommodation requests.
- Monitor changes in labor and employment laws and support updates to company policies, practices, and the Employee Handbook.
- Partner with leadership and Human Resources to promote consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
- Assist in developing and delivering training for leaders related to employee relations, compliance, communication, and workplace expectations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee relations documentation and records.
- Support initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, workplace culture, and communication.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
