About the role

The Global IT VMO Senior Manager leads Vendor Management, Vendor Assurance, and Cloud governance teams, overseeing a global vendor portfolio exceeding €60 million. The role is accountable for vendor performance, cloud financial strategy, contract and budget governance, risk and compliance oversight, and supplier negotiations, while ensuring alignment with IT strategy and delivering value, operational efficiency, and strong stakeholder governance across global IT services.

Key Job Accountabilities
  • The Global IT VMO Senior Manager, directs and takes final accountability for the VA, VM & Cloud Lead teams and provides visibility to the ITLT and key senior stakeholders of successes, issues, risks, and compliance.
  • Directs the Cloud Strategy process to ensure no unknown/unplanned financial impact is seen unless approved.
  • Takes final accountability for ensuring the vendors provide the goods and services in line with the agreed contracts SLA's / KPI's etc.
  • Manages the entire portfolio of vendors, (managed within the team) with budgets in excess of €60million.
  • Has a clear understanding of Amcor's IT Strategy and regularly owns and develops alignment to the Vendor Management strategy.
  • Takes final responsibility of the Vendor Management SOC governance back to GIA, Risk Compliance, IT Security teams and 3rd Parties.
  • Drives the Governance model with key suppliers to ensure QBR / ABR are delivered to ITLT and key stakeholders
  • Overall responsibility for price negotiation, services and product, policies and corrective action with key suppliers, contractors and service providers.
  • Provide final decisions on the management of Contracts, Relationships, Performance and Financial governance.
  • Directs continuous improvement initiatives, to create additional value over and above the contract requirements.
  • Full accountability for the review and approval/rejection of monthly billing charges.
  • Has overall responsibility for the Corp IT budget process of vendors managed within the team.


Qualifications/Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent.
  • Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) certification is an advantage.
  • 7+ years professional experience in Procurement, Vendor Management or Supply Chain.
  • 4+ years leading and motivating a geographically dispersed team.
  • Directs the development of fellow team members and coaches/mentors as necessary.
  • Proven customer focus, interpersonal and communications skills, to ensure consistent messages are communicated to Senior Management (ITLT) and other internal customers / stakeholders and vendors.
  • Use effective collaboration skills to direct and build relationships with suppliers, and contractors who provide a broad spectrum of IT products and services.
  • Strong negotiation, management, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with software licencing, hardware procurement and outsourcing agreements.
  • Effective contract lifecycle management and negotiation skills.
  • Exhibits flexibility in response to changing demands and is the final escalation point for the team.
