This position is for full-time, onsite employment at the Family Dollar Chesapeake Store Support Center."

This role holds a key leadership position by supporting the Director in managing and executing IT solutions for business needs. IT Development Manager works as a Lead for all contracted Business Analysts and providing the best options for solving and executing IT related business issues (day to day and long term).

This role will lead and manage the quality of the deliverables for the team of Business Analysts that are responsible for documenting business requirements for requested solutions/enhancements.

This role will be assigned projects and is responsible for the communication and coordination of IT project design through implementation (design, development, test and production). This role must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management both within and outside of the IT department.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
• Serve as the Lead for assigned back-office applications and systems (Lawson Finance/HR, Workday, SAP Concur, Tango

Lease Accounting, and supporting platforms)
• Collaborate with technology teams to keep operational initiatives and system enhancements moving forward on the strategic roadmap
• Serve on departmental process improvement initiatives to optimize workflows and identify efficiency opportunities
• Educate business stakeholders on system capabilities, best practices, and process changes
• Help identify opportunities for business units to optimize operations and find efficiency
• Manage relationships with stakeholders, key vendors, and service providers; oversee SLAs and service expectations
• Monitor application performance, system availability, and user access; coordinate with IT and vendors on issue resolution and escalations
• Manage, test, and execute application enhancements and system implementations from design through production
• Configure, deploy, and maintain applications for operational initiatives

Lead and mentor team of Business Analysts
• Perform team capacity planning, work prioritization, resource allocation, and activity reporting
• Define and ensure adherence to project management processes, templates, standards
• Manage deliverable quality to ensure solutions meet requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's in business, engineering, computer science, MIS or other four-year related degree
  • 10+ years of related management and Merchandise work experience using various technologies:
    • Procure-To-Pay systems
    • Sourcing and Compliance systems
    • Enterprise Reporting and Planning systems
    • Communication, Job Processing/Scheduling, and Integration systems
    • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Financial Management systems (Lawson, Oracle, SAP)
    • Human Capital Management (HCM) and Payroll systems (Workday)
    • Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger systems
    • Procurement and Sourcing systems (SAP Ariba, Concur)
  • Prior supervisory experience, preferably within an IT department
  • Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite, Data Analytics tools and Query language
  • Experience managing large, complex, cross-functional technology project
  • Experience working in a multi-banner integration environment is a plus
