Manager, Information Technology & CybersecurityFull Time (37.5 hours/week)The Manager's role is to provide operational leadership to the IT Department at EveryMind and to ensure that the operations of the IT Department are in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. Reporting to the Director of Finance & IT, the incumbent will plan, design, manage, implement and monitor IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department. The IT Manager will work closely with senior leaders in other departments to inform strategy, identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organizations' operations and to recommend and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
Annual Salary: $107,448 - $116,216 (step 1- step 3 in a 5 step pay band)

Job Responsibilities:
The incumbent will:
- Provide operational leadership and guidance to the IT department, ensuring high-quality information technology services.
- Provide direct leadership to a team of IT professionals, including hiring, training and coaching for development.
- Ensure all services within the scope of assigned responsibilities are appropriately staffed within approved budgets and plans.
- Oversee the provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support.
- Recommend and collaborate with the Senior team in developing and implementing all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
- Provide input into IT department budget development and manage the financial implementation of the IT Department budget, including purchasing and asset management.
- Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Utilize Project Management methodology to oversee the implementation of projects outlined in the IT Strategic Roadmap.
- Manage portfolio of vendors and managed service providers to ensure optimal performance of the IT Environment.
- Oversee IT and cybersecurity vendor management, including procurement, contract administration, risk assessments, compliance reviews, performance management, and renewal negotiations to support secure and effective operations.
- Collaborate with senior management in developing business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending, initiatives, and projects.
- Support in negotiating and administering vendor, outsourced, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
- Ensure and participate in 24/7 on call for the department as required to meet organizational needs.
- Work closely with organizational management team to ensure resources are used to best meet the organizational needs as well as ensuring end user satisfaction.
- Provide guidance and direction to organization management with respect to information and communication technology solutions for the day-to-day operational business practices.
Cybersecurity:- Manage portfolio of cybersecurity service providers to ensure ongoing integrity and security of the IT Environment.
- Report and advise on security incidents and data breaches to senior management, ensuring industry standards are met and are in accordance with provincial and relevant federal privacy legislation, IT Security practices and frameworks.
- Oversee vulnerability remediation, log management, reporting, configuration management, and security hardening techniques to improve overall IT Cybersecurity.
- Oversee and facilitate Cybersecurity Awareness procedures and training for end-users.
- Promote security awareness across the entire agency.
Skills and Qualifications:- Post-secondary university degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Security.
- At least 10 years of experience in the IT sector, supporting organizations including leading technology-based projects.
- At least 3 years' experience leading technical support teams
- At least 2 years' experience providing Information Security or Cybersecurity management
- Must understand and be comfortable with Windows Servers, general networking / troubleshooting of switches and firewalls, Microsoft 365 Admin center, Intune, and Entra management.
- Must be comfortable leading projects in Teams Phone Migration, M365 SharePoint/Teams and AI integration (Copilot Premium)
- Must have at least one of the below security certifications or designations:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- any combination from CompTIA Cybersecurity Pathway (Security+, CySA+, PenTest+, CASP+)
- PMP or applicable project management certifications or designations are an asset.
- Previous experience working in the not for profit or healthcare sector is an asset.
- Demonstrated strong technical knowledge of server virtualization, network infrastructure architecture, systems platforms and PC operating systems, including database management.
- Demonstrated ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language with above average written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability in the creation of business cases and budgets.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute IT initiatives/projects using project management principles.
- Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong end user service orientation and attention to detail.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License and use of vehicle.
- Ability to work minimum 3 days a week with on-site presence based on team and end-user (client) needs and be available 24/7 on call in rotation with team.
- A Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check and Pre-Employment Medical screening (including TB test, MMR, TD, Polio, Covid-19 vaccination), is required.
