This role combines operational leadership with strategic influence, providing a unique opportunity to impact fraud policy, investigative practices, customer protection strategies, and the continued evolution of our fraud program.

You will oversee the day-to-day investigation and resolution of fraud events affecting Ally Invest, including account takeover, identity theft, first-party fraud, cyber-enabled fraud, and securities-related fraud schemes. In parallel, you will serve as a key subject matter expert, partnering across Fraud, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Product, and Brokerage teams to identify emerging threats, enhance controls, improve customer outcomes, and influence future fraud strategy.

This role is ideal for leaders who have built expertise in brokerage operations, fraud operations, investigations, risk management, or strategy and are looking to expand their impact beyond operational execution into broader fraud program development and transformation.

As Ally continues to modernize fraud capabilities, this position will play an important role in helping define how investigative operations, fraud controls, customer experience, and risk management evolve together.

This role offers a unique opportunity to combine operational leadership with strategic influence, helping shape the future of Ally's brokerage fraud program while leading a high-performing operations team.

  • Continually monitor, review, and evaluate evolving fraud threats impacting brokerage customers and operations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of investigative techniques, broker-dealer regulations, privacy requirements, fraud trends, and associated operational practices.
  • Perform overall functional management, long-range planning, change execution, and resource management while contributing to broader fraud program objectives.
  • Monitor fraud operations to ensure production targets, service levels, quality expectations, and customer outcomes are achieved.
  • Provide expert advice on the detection and investigation of fraud schemes including account takeover, identity theft, first-party fraud, cyber-enabled fraud, stock manipulation, and emerging brokerage fraud typologies.
  • Provide expert guidance on suspicious activity investigations, including identifying matters requiring escalation, SAR consideration, and regulatory reporting, while ensuring applicable filing requirements are met accurately and timely.
  • Serve as the brokerage fraud subject matter expert, partnering across Fraud, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Product, and Brokerage teams to identify emerging threats, enhance controls, improve customer outcomes, and influence future fraud strategy.
  • Analyze fraud trends, operational performance, customer impacts, and loss drivers to recommend enhancements to fraud controls, investigative practices, policies, and future program direction.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fraud detection, investigative quality, customer outcomes, operational effectiveness, and fraud loss mitigation.
  • Lead and develop department staff through effective coaching, communication, performance management, and talent development.
  • Oversee daily operations, quality control, scheduling, training, workforce management, performance reviews, and staffing activities.
  • Engage with internal teams and external financial institutions, serving as a primary point of contact for complex investigations and fraud-related matters.
  • Provide requested information to regulatory agencies, auditors, and business partners as required.
