Overview

The Manager of Inventory Accounting at Crocs, Inc.is responsible for inventory and cost accounting across Crocs global entities. This role leads the accounting and controls over inventory. You will serve as a key partner to operations, ensuring financial results reflect underlying business activity, while maintaining a strong control environment and supporting external reporting and audits.

What You'll Do

  • Own global inventory accounting end-to-end, including standard costing, inventory valuation, reserves, and cost of goods sold
  • Lead close processes (monthly, quarterly, and year-end) including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, inventory subledger tie-outs, and flux/variance analysis.
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory balances by partnering with Supply Chain and Inventory Control to validate inventory movements, adjustments, reserves, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain and enhance standard costing for global products, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with financial reporting requirements.
  • Drive process improvement and transformation by optimizing inventory accounting workflows, supporting automation and system changes, and enabling new initiatives (e.g. product launches) with appropriate accounting treatment and controls.
  • Maintain policies, procedures, and controls by documenting processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting accounting treatment and controls.
  • Prepare and support audit documentation and external audit requests
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Inventory Control, Tax, Supply Chain, IT, and Retail/Ecommerce Operations to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.
  • Develop and support team capability by contributing to training, coaching, and performance management of accounting team members.


What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in Accounting functions, with a strong focus on process improvement, with 2+ years of people leadership
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of ERP systems; primarily SAP is required.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management.

Title: Manager, Inventory Accounting

Salary or Pay Range: $115,000 - $125,000

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
