Overview
The Manager of Integrated Solutions leads and develops a team of Interface Engineers and Solutions Engineers, ensuring the effective and timely delivery of healthcare integration solutions for Care Logistics clients. This role serves as both a people leader and a hands-on technical expert, capable of stepping in to fulfill the responsibilities of either the Interface Engineer or Solutions Engineer roles when needed.
The Manager is the primary technical representative of Care Logistics in client-facing engagements, overseeing and personally contributing to the design, build, and deployment of system interfaces using the Rhapsody Interface Engine, HL7, JavaScript, and SQL. The Manager also serves as the internal subject matter expert on integration processes, working closely with Implementation, Sales & Marketing, Product Management, and Development teams to advance organizational objectives.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Team Leadership & People Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Interface Engineers and Solutions Engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and high performance.
- Create and manage team workplans; assign team members to projects based on skills, capacity, and development goals.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and ongoing feedback conversations to support individual growth and team engagement.
- Serve as first point of escalation for team challenges, resolving conflicts fairly and constructively while maintaining team cohesion.
- Advocate for team resources, tooling, and professional development within the organization.
- Adaptability, Change Leadership & Conflict Resolution
- Champion organizational and process changes, translating strategic direction into actionable guidance while modeling adaptability and leading adoption of new methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proactively identify operational risks and drive creative, pragmatic solutions before issues impact delivery.
- Navigate competing priorities and stakeholder expectations through principled negotiation, balancing client commitments with team capacity and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Mediate disagreements between team members, clients, and cross-functional partners, ensuring issues are resolved respectfully and efficiently.
- Represent the integration team's interests in cross-functional planning discussions, advocating for the team's perspective while aligning to organizational priorities.
- Technical Delivery & Oversight
- Serve as knowledge leader for integration team processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage and personally support delivery of customer project tasks, including:
- Cataloging customer hospital-system interface requirements.
- Creating and implementing inbound and outbound interfaces via Rhapsody, Symphonia Mapper, and JavaScript.
- Developing and executing interface test plans to validate code developed by Care Logistics and customer interface resources.
- Enterprise integration activity troubleshooting.
- Supporting and leading customer technical go-live events.
- Work closely with Client Services teams to develop and continuously improve project delivery methodology.
- Provide business process and integration knowledge to inform future product development.
- Interface Engineer Coverage (Subject Matter Expert & Fill-In)
- Design, develop, and support new and existing hospital system interfaces using HL7, Rhapsody, JavaScript, and FHIR standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve interface issues across development, test, and production environments.
- Develop and maintain interface design guides, flow diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Support transition-to-support processes and knowledge transfer to support teams.
- Provide after-hours on-call support during critical periods as needed.
- Solutions Engineer Coverage (Subject Matter Expert & Fill-In)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Analyze data from EMR, clinical, and scheduling systems to identify functionality opportunities and integration needs.
- Participate in and co-lead virtual and in-person integration interviews, client discussions, and project meetings.
- Act as a liaison between technical and business functions, helping to align technology, processes, and organizational goals.
- Provide input on developing and modifying Care Logistics systems to meet client needs; collaborate with Client Services to ensure realization of client goals and estimated ROI.
QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT, integration engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of people management or team lead experience.
- Proficiency in HL7 standards and interface engines (Rhapsody strongly preferred).
- Experience with FHIR standards and integrations.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript and SQL.
- Experience with or knowledge of hospital processes and clinical workflows
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change, manage conflict, and negotiate outcomes effectively.
PREFERRED
- Rhapsody certified.
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.).
- 2+ years of experience interfacing ADTs, Order Entry, Radiology Orders, and Scheduling messages.
- Familiarity with SQL for database research purposes.
- XML, XSD, JSON experience is a plus.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and change management frameworks.
- Knowledge of product management concepts.

- Knowledge of product management concepts preferred
- Experience with or knowledge of hospital processes strongly desired

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Up to 30% travel required; includes client site visits, go-live support, and company events.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to participate in video calls, use hands to write and type, and communicate verbally and in writing.
