Job Description Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, CPA-credentialed professional to take on a senior role within our Operations group, adding depth in tax and partnership accounting for private funds and funds of funds. This person will own complex reporting and reconciliation work, review the output of junior staff, and serve as a key point of contact for OCIO client reporting requirements.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage custodial relationships and P/L reporting for separate accounts, and oversee capital activity, valuations, and investor reporting for private fund and fund-of-funds vehicles.
  • Review and interpret Schedule K-1s and partnership tax allocations, including special allocations, waterfall calculations, and capital account maintenance across fund structures.
  • Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, and tax preparers on year-end tax reporting, K-1 delivery timelines, and resolution of allocation or basis discrepancies.
  • Prepare and review comprehensive client and management reports, including performance, exposure, and tax-related disclosures for OCIO clients.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for OCIO client servicing teams and portfolio managers on portfolio reporting, performance, and tax/K-1-related inquiries.
  • Review and approve fee invoice payments and capital call/distribution processing for private fund investments.
  • Lead and/or contribute to operational due diligence on prospective and existing fund investments, including manager operational reviews and service-provider assessments.
  • Work with various levels/members of the investment team to evaluate new investment strategies.
  • Review, mentor, and train junior associates; serve as a quality-control checkpoint on reporting and reconciliation work before client delivery.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to portfolio-level reporting, performance calculation, and tax-allocation workflows.
  • Interact with all groups and levels of management, including client-facing communication requiring discretion and precision.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Active CPA license preferred; not required for candidates with a strong background in fund administration or accounting.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in fund accounting, investment operations, or tax, with direct exposure to private funds and/or funds of funds.
  • Working knowledge of partnership taxation and allocation methodologies (K-1s, special allocations, waterfalls, capital account maintenance).
  • Highly familiar with performance metrics and calculations, including IRR, TWR, and PME.
  • Familiarity with private equity / private credit reporting KPIs, such as PIC, DPI, TVPI, and RVPI.
  • Understanding of OCIO client requirements - institutional reporting standards, client communication expectations, and compliance-sensitive documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of finance and markets across asset classes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and its reporting capabilities (particularly Excel); comfort learning firm reporting and portfolio accounting systems.


This position is a Exemptposition. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $170,000-$185,000base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
