The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a Manager of IT to act as a liaison between unit and customer senior management to ensure alignment of information services' directions and business requirements. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at our Palmdale, CA location.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Effectively interact with members of the information systems leadership team to optimize strategies in support of customers goals and objectives.
- Maintain full-time Program assignment; with a subset of the time allocated to Functional Manager duties, which fluctuate throughout the year due to business needs and the performance management cycle
- Provide leadership over information systems activities in support of customers' strategy development, budget and cost management, proposal development, product and service acquisition and delivery, teaming relationships and communication activities thereby ensuring timely and cost effective delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Information services may include the design, development, and analysis encompassing one or more of the following areas of technical expertise: programming, PC application analysis, software development, systems integration, and related disciplines.
- Collaborate within and across teams to accomplish goals.
- Act with ethics, integrity, and innovation while challenging traditional ways of doing business.
- Lead a team of application administrators performing direct program work on multiple programs.
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
- Use good judgement to pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Work closely with program-assigned systems engineering, software development, and management professionals to ensure that the software lifecycle is accomplished with high quality and efficiency
- Oversee and manage the quality and timeliness of the organization’s products, and identification and remediation of potential issues before they become problems
- Develop and manage budgets and schedules and create work assignments for tasking
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 5 years of software engineering experience OR Master's Degree in STEM with 3 years of software engineering experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Access Program (SAP) access via a Program Access Request (PAR)
- Must possess a US Government 8570 certification at IAT Level II (Security+) or higher or have the ability obtain in 90 days from hire date
- Experience coordinating collaboration across engineering teams
- Experience with the various competencies of Teaching, Mentoring, and Facilitation
- Experience in a distributed team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- An advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other STEM discipline
- Active Secret, Top Secret, SCI, SAP/SAR access, or Polygraph
- Security+ CE certification
- Experience with eQ MI and BI Infrastructure
- Strong background in software development, testing, and troubleshooting
- Prior experience with performing software development using agile methodologies
- Proven leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate exemplary professionalism and ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
- Demonstrate strong team-building/collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to build diverse/inclusive teams with engaged team members
- Demonstrated mentoring and coaching skills, and excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)
- Previous experience leading a team of 5-12 employees
- Time management and organizational skills to prioritize across concurrent program and functional responsibilities
- Experience with Teamcenter Application
- Knowledge of Teamcenter 4-Tier, 2-Tier, or web architecture end-user support and incident resolution

Primary Level Salary Range: $121,000.00 - $181,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
