Summary

The HR Manager, Inclusion, Culture & Community is a connector and practitioner who brings The Freeman Company's commitment to inclusion and belonging to life through structured programs, a thriving culture and Business Resource Group (BRG) ecosystem, and meaningful community and social impact partnerships. This role goes beyond programming to focus on influencing how the organization operates, how leaders lead, and how employees experience work across every location, level, and work arrangement.

This role sits within the Employee Experience team and works across the business to advance an inclusive culture, activate BRG communities, and strengthen The Freeman Company's connection to the communities we serve. The ideal candidate brings an intersectional lens to this work, recognizing that employees bring overlapping identities and lived experiences to work, and that building genuine belonging requires meeting people where they are. This role is eligible to work a hybrid schedule based out of our Headquarters in Dallas, TX.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Inclusion Strategy and Programming
  • Partners with HR and business leaders to support the development and lead execution of Inclusion and Belonging priorities, ensuring alignment to business goals and consistent delivery of programs and initiatives
  • Designs and facilitates Inclusion and Belonging learning experiences, workshops, and awareness campaigns that build cultural competency and inclusive leadership across the organization
  • Leverages data and employee listening insights to identify trends, surface barriers to inclusion, and recommend targeted actions that drive measurable outcomes
  • Establishes and tracks Inclusion and Belonging metrics and OKRs in partnership with the broader HR team; communicates progress and impact to leadership
  • Applies leading Inclusion and Belonging practices in practical, scalable ways that drive adoption and measurable business impact
  • Champions psychological safety and employee voice as measurable culture outcomes, equipping leaders and teams with tools and practices that create environments where all employees can fully contribute

BRG Activation, Culture & Employee Experience
  • Leads the evolution of Business Resource Groups by aligning their purpose to talent development, leadership engagement, and enterprise business impact
  • Serves as an operational partner to BRG leaders, establishing structure, governance, and consistent operating standards while strengthening leadership capability
  • Establishes disciplined frameworks and operating standards for all BRGs, including governance, goal-setting, key results, and measurement of impact and business contribution
  • Partners with BRG leaders to align their work to business priorities, including talent development, leadership visibility, and employee engagement
  • Collaborates with HR and business leaders to embed Inclusion and Belonging principles into key employee lifecycle moments, including onboarding, development, and performance
  • Develops and activates programming that strengthens belonging and connection across The Freeman Company's workforce, including hybrid, remote, and non-desk or show-floor environments

Community Engagement & Social Impact
  • Connects Inclusion and Belonging initiatives with the company's social impact strategy to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and community investments
  • Supports alignment between The Freeman Company's community investment priorities, such as environmental causes, veterans, and underserved communities, and internal programs and events
  • Identifies and develops external partnerships with community organizations and civic groups that advance shared Inclusion, Belonging, and social impact goals
  • Partners with The Freeman Foundation and relevant internal stakeholders to integrate responsible ownership values and family mission into employee-facing programs
  • Represents The Freeman Company in external Inclusion and community forums, contributing to the company's reputation as an active and committed partner


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in Inclusion, Belonging, Culture, HR, community engagement, or a related people-focused role
  • Demonstrated experience managing Inclusion and Belonging programs and/or business/employee resource or affinity groups
  • Experience working in a matrixed or complex organization preferred
  • Inclusion, Employee Experience, Organizational Effectiveness, or HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent) preferred
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to engage audiences from frontline employees to senior leaders
  • Strong project and program management skills; able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Analytical mindset: comfortable using data, surveys, and listening tools to analyze and inform Inclusion and Belonging strategy and measure impact
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
