As an Engineering Manager II, you will be a primary engine for high-growth technical organizations, bridging the gap between bold ideas and real-world impact for millions of users. You'll lead high-performing teams in an environment that values ownership over hierarchy and measurable impact over process.

This is a high-visibility leadership role that requires a manager who stays calm in the "messy" reality of scaling one of the world's most complex technical platforms. You will move fluidly between high-level strategic vision and relentless operational execution, making hard calls on prioritization and navigating competing global priorities. Rate of Pay: $253,200 to $284,000 per year

What you'll do
  • Leads the team responsible for implementing, testing and maintaining distributed database systems.
  • Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable software systems, ensuring adherence to engineering best practices and quality standards.
  • Establish technical direction, guide architectural decisions, and drive continuous improvement in tools, processes, and system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Operations to define technical requirements and deliver business-aligned solutions.
  • Plan and manage project timelines, resources, and risks to ensure successful and timely delivery of complex software initiatives.
  • Manage software engineering teams by recruiting, mentoring, and evaluating engineers to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • May telecommute.
  • Will supervise at least one (1) Software Engineer/15-1252.

Basic Qualifications
  • Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Statistics, or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
  • Position requires:
    • Programming language concepts: C++, Python, and Java;
    • Relational database concepts: SQL and MySQL;
    • Source control system: git and svn;
    • Data structures and algorithms development and functionality;
    • Debugging and monitoring for production services;
    • Designing technology stacks;
    • Distributed System: Service Oriented Architecture;
    • Database performance analysis.
