What You'll Do

Reporting to the Vice President Corporate Services, the Manager, HR Operations and Talent Development is a newly created leadership role responsible for driving the design, delivery, execution, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide people programs, processes, and systems.

This role will provide strategic and operational leadership across the employee lifecycle, ensuring that HR practices are aligned with Rising Edge's business objectives, culture, and continued growth. The Manager will lead the development and optimization of scalable HR processes, systems, and programs that enhance the employee experience, support organizational effectiveness, and enable leaders to attract, develop, engage, and retain talent.

Working collaboratively with leaders across the organization, this role will serve as a key partner in identifying opportunities to strengthen HR operations, improve processes, leverage technology and data, and develop programs that support both employees and the evolving needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

HR Operations
  • Provide leadership and oversight for Human Resources operations, ensuring the effective delivery of core HR programs, processes, and services across the organization.
  • Lead the development of effective employee communications, supporting the employee experience through learning initiatives and communication campaigns

Talent Development
  • Design, implement, and evaluate leadership development programs that build leadership effectiveness and support succession readiness.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen organizational capability, employee engagement, collaboration, and team effectiveness.
  • Oversee the operation and effectiveness of Canadian apprenticeship program administration, including communication standards and process optimization
  • Act as a trusted advisor on organizational development, leadership effectiveness, talent, and organizational change.
  • Support talent management initiatives, including succession planning, high-potential development, and leadership assessment processes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver strategic initiatives and development programs.

People Systems and Analytics
  • Partner with Information Technology and Human Resources stakeholders to develop and implement an integrated systems strategy that streamlines people processes and programs,
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and integrate HR, talent, learning, performance management, and workforce planning systems.
  • Lead the development of people analytics capabilities, including dashboards, reporting frameworks, and key workforce metrics.

Requirements

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, Talent Management, HR Systems or related fields.
  • 5+ Years of experience leading, coaching and mentoring staff.
  • Experience in construction, utilities and/or industrial environments.
  • Experience facilitating executive and leadership discussions, workshops, and planning sessions.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing leadership, talent, and team development programs.
  • Strong strategic planning and organizational effectiveness skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into people strategies and actionable initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience leading organizational change, managing complex projects and programs, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility and effectively partner with executives, leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience facilitating executive and leadership discussions, workshops, planning sessions, coaching programs, and team development activities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to effectively communicate organizational priorities and influence outcomes at all levels.
  • Experience working with HR technology platforms, integrated people systems, workforce analytics, and reporting tools, with the ability to leverage data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to connect people, processes, technology, and business objectives.
  • Experience in organizational development and design, including identifying capability gaps and developing strategies to strengthen organizational capacity.
  • Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong facilitation, coaching, and change leadership capabilities.
