Full Job Description
GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This position manages space allocations and ensures allocations align with developing long term campus goals and corporate strategic plans. Develop space programs, fit plans and scopes of work which can be shared with administration and executive leaders to make recommendations for the best use of campus resources. Direct internal architects, engineers, and other consultants, as necessary. Coordinates strategic planning activities with corporate initiatives. Acts as the liaison with AHN Executive leadership, internal project teams, city officials and DOH representatives.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity. Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority. (30%)
  • Develop and maintain space programs in conjunction with AHN leadership. (20%)
  • Develop scope of work documents, space programs and preliminary test fits. (20%)
  • Support Real estate team in feasibility studies, consolidations, and business agreements. (10%)
  • Analyze internal project goals, conceive, and develop architectural concepts/solutions for those goals. (10%)
  • Further develops and maintains space planning standards. (5%)
  • Maintain internal architectural specs and standard project deliverables. (5%)
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • 10 - 15 years in healthcare planning or a related field
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, AutoCAD, REVIT)


Preferred

  • Bachelor's in architecture or Interior Design
  • Architecture Licensure from PA
  • Additional computer skills an asset (Sketchup, Newforma, dRofus)
  • Experience in Alternate Project Delivery methodology, considered an asset, as well as Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) experience.
