Manager, Global Telecom Procurement and Lifecycle
Remote/Hybrid, near Atlanta, GA, Stamford, CT or New York, NY
Role Responsibilities
Reports directly to the VP of Network Architecture including direct involvement with Finance, Sales Operations/Solutions Architects, Transmission Operations, and Engineering departments.
Plans and leads all Telecom related procurement projects, programs or strategic planning for the assigned work streams related to Telecom capacity and public network and cloud services.
Management of a Telecom services portfolio including colocation, WAN and MAN infrastructure and associated local access and long haul services.
Account for all Telecom services in the portfolio, manage service provider procurement relationships and contracts that flow through the department via Operations, Sales or Engineering requests in the FiberTracker application.
Provide Telecom quotes, price negotiation, and lifecycle of quotes and service orders. Maintain Telecom reports on all sales requests (an initial quote, inquiries, completed orders and disconnects) utilizing FiberTracker application and associated documentation.
Manage and maintain FiberTracker application, bug tracking/fixes and feature requests, and train on its proper use and functionality.
Liaison with the AP & Finance Department regarding Telecom service orders, invoices and vendor disputes, invoice payment approvals and A/P coding and tracking.
Maintain a working knowledge of facilities within Encompass's Global footprint, as well as create, issue and receive technical documentation, including LOA/CFA to clients, internal project teams and service providers as needed.
Able to travel between all US-based facilities on an occasional basis.
