Role OverviewThe Global HR Generalist serves as a key People resource supporting RWS Global's growing international workforce. Working across multiple countries and time zones, this role helps navigate HR requirements related to global employment, onboarding, documentation, and compliance by identifying the right questions, resources, and partners needed to move matters forward.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced HR professional with a strong foundation in HR practices and compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, and solutions-oriented, with the ability to recognize when country-specific expertise is needed, coordinate with internal and external partners, and provide reliable follow-through in a fast-paced global environment.
Responsibilities- Global HR Resource & Compliance CoordinationServe as an HR resource for navigating employment requirements across RWS Global's international operations.
- Identify potential country-specific employment and compliance considerations and recognize when local expertise or additional guidance is required.
- Research and identify appropriate internal and external resources, including local HR partners, employment counsel, benefits partners, and other specialists.
- Gather necessary information and coordinate with appropriate resources to determine requirements and next steps.
- Maintain organized records of global HR resources, contacts, requirements, and reference materials.
Global Onboarding & Employment Documentation- Coordinate HR requirements for onboarding employees across international locations, partnering with internal teams and local resources as needed.
- Support the preparation, collection, and maintenance of employment documentation in accordance with country-specific requirements.
- Help identify requirements related to employment contracts, worker classification, payroll, benefits, leave, right-to-work, and other employment considerations.
- Partner with People Operations and other stakeholders to support accurate and timely international onboarding.
- Maintain practical checklists, processes, and reference materials for recurring global HR activities.
Cross-Functional & Global Partnership- Build effective working relationships with People Operations and key internal stakeholders, including Finance, Payroll, Legal, and Talent Acquisition.
- Coordinate with external partners and subject-matter experts to obtain guidance on international employment matters.
- Communicate requirements and next steps clearly and follow up with stakeholders to keep work moving.
General HR Support- Provide day-to-day HR support within the scope of the role, escalating matters requiring specialized expertise when appropriate.
- Support HR projects and initiatives as needed.
- Recognize and appropriately escalate potential HR or compliance concerns.
Qualifications & Experience- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within an HR Generalist, HR Operations, People Operations, or similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of core HR practices, employment compliance, and the employee lifecycle.
- Experience supporting employees or business operations across multiple countries or regions preferred.
- Experience coordinating employee onboarding, employment documentation, and other HR processes.
- Ability to recognize potential employment or compliance considerations and understand when specialized expertise or additional guidance is required.
- Experience working across multiple stakeholders and functions in a fast-paced organization.
- Experience within entertainment, live events, hospitality, cruise, production, or another complex global workforce environment is a plus.
