Purpose of Job

Contributes to the overall success of the Global Family Office Group ensuring team and individual goals are delivered, including (i) client servicing activities; and (ii) strategic and operational initiatives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships. Leverages broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge to deliver all-bank solutions to our UHNW / Family Office clients.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

Client Servicing & Business Development
• Engage clients and prospects as part of team business development activities including client pitches and delivery of customized solutions.
• Lead and support the team's planning and execution of exclusive GFOG client events, coordinating across countries, internal teams, executive management, and external service providers.
• Demonstrates broad knowledge of products and services across all of Scotia's businesses, platforms, and geographies, with knowledge in Wealth, Capital Markets, and/or or Corporate/Commercial Banking.
• Seek creative solutions for clients with complex needs, coordinating across teams and senior executives where needed.
• Develop and coordinate deliverables for client meetings, including presentations tailored to client needs.
• Build networks across GWM,GBM, Function teams and other key partners to drive solutions and encourage intra-group referral activity.
• Support new client onboarding activities, often coordinating across business lines.
• Apply sound judgement, communication, and influencing skills within a small team of senior executives.

Strategic & Operational Initiatives
• Execute strategic and operational initiatives that support Scotia's UHNW and Family Office strategy.
• Collaborate with Marketing & Communications on business development deliverables including client newsletters, media campaigns, client sponsorship events, public sales materials
• Partner with Wealth teams to develop new products, services, operational standards, and digital solutions that enhance Scotia's Family Office proposition.
• Provide analysis on the global and Canadian UHNW competitive landscape.
• Manage client pipeline & closed deal trackers, internal MI financial forecasts and data analytics that support strategic initiatives and business cases.
• Champion a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.

Governance and Referral Programs
• Manage and support governance processes for internal management committees and client meetings.
• Drive new referral activity between GBM/GWM/COIs by engaging with, representing GWM's capabilities and supporting new client introductions.
• Develop management reports on new client developments and quarterly submissions.
• Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

• Experience in a client-facing, strategy, or business development role within GWM, GBM, or Wealth Management industry
• Experience planning and delivering client events and business development
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with sound business judgement
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
• Self-motivation and comforte working both independently and within a small team setting
• Experience working with field sales teams or CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce) is an asset
• Post-secondary degree in a related field (B.Comm, MBA, Economics) or relevant experience
• Additional certifications (e.g. CFA, CPA, CIM, regulatory accreditation) or are working towards one, is an asset
• Fluency in Spanish, French or a second language is an asset
