Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Global Community Impact Communications, this role is an opportunity to do meaningful work that aligns with your values. The Manager will play an important enterprise role in shaping internal and external communications about RBC's philanthropic work, community impact and employee engagement initiatives.

What will you do?
  • Manage the development of external and internal communications plans for community impact initiatives, branded programs and other projects
  • Collaborate closely with communications, community impact, marketing, social media, business and HR colleagues on content
  • Craft compelling stories that inspire action and deepen awareness and engagement across employees, clients and communities
  • Continuously improve processes and practices with a focus on metrics, AI and innovation to support communications success and efficiency


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • 4+ years of communications experience with a track record for building trusted relationships and providing communications advice and insights to key partners and teams
  • Undergraduate degree/post-graduate certificate or equivalent in communications, public relations, journalism, English or a related field
  • Excellent communications skills - written, verbal and interpersonal; strong review and editing skills
  • Experience with internal engagement strategies and external communications
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, connect the dots and simplify information
  • Deadline-driven and detail-oriented with effective time management in juggling multiple projects


Nice-to-have
  • Knowledge of RBC's businesses and functions as well as the ambitions of RBC's Purpose Framework - Ideas for People & PlanetTM
  • Change communications experience
