Full Job Description
The Opportunity

Schneider Geospatial is seeking a highly capable, hands-on Manager, FP&A & Strategic Finance to build and lead our financial planning and analysis capabilities as the company enters its next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will own core forecasting, management reporting, financial and scenario planning, and strategic analysis while helping build a Finance organization that is scalable, technology-forward, transaction-ready, and capable of supporting continued growth.

This is a builder and strategic operator role, not one focused on maintaining an established FP&A process. The successful candidate will move comfortably among recurring FP&A, executive decision support, acquisition modeling and diligence, post-close performance tracking, transaction readiness, and Finance automation. The role will initially be an individual contributor.

Schneider Geospatial is headquartered in Indianapolis, and our strong preference is for this individual to work regularly with the CFO and Finance team in person. Exceptional remote candidates may also be considered.

What You'll Do

Lead Planning, Analysis & Reporting
  • Own the annual budget and rolling forecast processes, including integrated income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, headcount, and key operating-driver assumptions.
  • Develop multi-year forecasts and scenario analyses that connect strategic initiatives to revenue, profitability, cash flow, operating leverage, and enterprise value.
  • Partner with business leaders and budget owners to develop assumptions, challenge inputs, monitor performance, and translate insights into action.
  • Analyze results against budget, forecast, and prior periods; identify root causes, explain key drivers, and recommend follow-up actions.

Elevate Management & Board Reporting
  • Develop and maintain SaaS and recurring-revenue analytics, including ARR, bookings, retention, churn, expansion, customer concentration, cohort performance, CAC and CAC payback, and other unit economics; connect these operating metrics to revenue growth, profitability, cash flow, and enterprise value.
  • Own the monthly operating review, KPI reporting, dashboards, and other recurring management financial reporting.
  • Support quarterly Board materials with first-draft commentary, executive insights, and clear variance and trend analysis.
  • Build reporting that explains what happened, why it happened, what it means, and what actions should follow; connect operational KPIs to reported results and independently drive ad hoc analyses.

Drive Buy-Side M&A, Integration & Transaction Readiness
  • Serve as a key Finance partner to the CFO in evaluating acquisition targets and supporting investment decisions.
  • Build acquisition models covering historical performance, revenue and EBITDA projections, purchase-price and financing assumptions, synergies, integration costs, and downside, base, and upside return scenarios.
  • Support and increasingly lead financial due diligence across revenue quality, customer concentration, recurring revenue and retention, margins, expenses, headcount, working capital, cash conversion, and other key risks and opportunities.
  • Identify Quality of Earnings adjustments and normalization items; coordinate with Schneider's PE sponsor, target-company teams, and external advisors.
  • Partner on post-close reporting and integration; track performance against underwriting and distinguish organic from acquired growth.
  • Maintain reconciled, diligence-ready datasets and standardized analyses that can be produced quickly, consistently, and defensibly.

Modernize Finance Through AI & Automation
  • Identify, prioritize, and implement practical AI and automation opportunities across forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, M&A diligence, and recurring workflows.
  • Use AI as a working tool, not simply a research resource, to accelerate analysis, improve insight, automate repetitive work, and expand Finance team capacity.
  • Develop repeatable workflows that connect financial and operational data across systems and reduce dependence on manual Excel-based processes.
  • Serve as a hands-on AI champion, helping teammates adopt practical, responsible tools while continuously evaluating where Schneider should, and should not, invest.

What You Bring

This role requires a blend of analytical horsepower, strategic judgment, attention to detail, and hands-on execution. You are intellectually curious, comfortable operating in ambiguity, and able to turn complex financial and operating information into clear, decision-ready insight.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, plus typically 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate development, transaction advisory, investment banking, or a related analytical role.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills across integrated forecasting, scenario analysis, valuation, and investment returns.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to communicate clearly to executive and Board audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, independently drive work to completion, and influence business partners.
  • Experience with SaaS and buy-side diligence, acquisition modeling, Quality of Earnings, PE-backed companies, or post-close integration is highly valued.
  • A demonstrated technology-forward mindset and hands-on experience using AI, automation, advanced analytics, or modern finance tools to improve analysis, reporting, forecasting, or business processes.
  • MBA, CFA, CPA, or other relevant advanced training is a plus but not required.

Your Future with Us

As Manager, FP&A & Strategic Finance, you'll build the planning, analytical, and reporting capabilities that support Schneider's next phase of growth. You'll strengthen acquisition and transaction readiness while helping Finance scale through better data, systems, automation, and decision support.

This role offers a rare opportunity to work directly with the CFO and senior decision-makers while shaping a modern FP&A function inside an acquisitive, PE-backed GovTech SaaS company.
