About The Team And The RoleWe are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Advertising business Finance team! eBay's Advertising business represents a dynamic and innovative environment where data-driven insights meet strategic business partnerships to improve ad performance and revenue across eBay's extensive marketplace.
This role involves FP&A responsibilities and helping the Business understand performance. You will meet weekly with Advertising and Finance partners to share reports and insights about business health. The job includes leading weekly, monthly, and yearly cycles alongside Corporate Finance, Global Markets Finance, Marketing, and Controllership teams to coordinate forecasts and the business narrative.
What You Will Accomplish- Provide Finance & Advertising leadership with weekly financial outlooks on Advertising revenue trends.
- Manage budgets and rigor around Advertising promo spend to help acquire new sellers and retain existing sellers across Ads lines of businesses.
- Act as a thought partner for New Ventures by providing business and financial insights. Support planning for growth, evaluate different scenarios, and assist with regular finance tasks like month-end close and accruals.
- Deliver quarterly and yearly outlooks through forecasting and budgeting processes for Advertising business, incorporating regional level insights.
- Partner with external vendors to ensure smoother spend tracking, including PO creation, invoice reconciliation, and accruals.
- Identify efficiencies in FP&A processes and support cross-functional efforts on financial transformation projects within eBay.
- Collaborate with eBay's accounting team for quarter-end close reporting, driving internal processes to maintain and improve predictability of financial results.
What You Will Bring:- 5+ years in finance, focusing on FP&A and Business Performance.
- Experience with financial systems such as Anaplan, SAP 4 HANA, SAP BPC, SAP BW, etc.
- Strong analytical skills for data manipulation using SQL or similar tools.
- Solid technical skills in spreadsheets and a good grasp of accounting principles.
- A continual improvement outlook, eager to implement standard methodologies.
- Ability to navigate a matrix organization, effectively partnering with multiple roles.
- A curious, critical thinker ready to challenge and influence business decisions.
- High energy and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, global setting.

$100,000 - $125,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
