Full Job Description
The Manager - Financial System EPM is a strategic leader responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing governance of Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS) and Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS). This role serves as the overall owner of the EPM platform, providing both functional direction and technical oversight while leading a team of developers. The EPM Manager partners closely with Finance, FP&A, and IT leadership to enable and continuously enhance budgeting, forecasting, financial consolidation, and management reporting capabilities.

This role represents a pivotal opportunity to establish and lead a new enterprise capability. As the organization implements Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP as its system of record through a phased 12-18-month program, the EPM Manager will lead the parallel rollout of EPBCS and FCCS. This includes owning the EPM workstream end-to-end-from roadmap and solution design through deployment and hypercare, while ensuring seamless integration with Oracle Fusion Financials. The role is accountable for defining integration architecture, establishing best practices, and delivering scalable planning models that support both the ERP go-live and the organization's long-term financial planning strategy.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in Oracle EPM Cloud with proven leadership experience and a track record of delivering enterprise-scale implementations. This individual will drive cross-functional alignment, translate complex business requirements into scalable solutions, and build a high-performing financial systems capability. This is a highly visible leadership role with significant influence on the organization's financial transformation and future-state operating model.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oracle Fusion ERP Integration & EPM Implementation (12-18 Month Program)
  • Lead the EPBCS workstream within the broader Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementation, coordinating with the ERP project team, SI partner, and Finance stakeholders throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Define and own the integration architecture between Oracle Fusion Financials (GL, Procurement, Projects) and EPBCS, including chart-of-accounts alignment, segment mapping, and automated actuals data flows.
  • Configure and maintain Data Management (EPM DM) mappings to load actuals from Oracle Fusion General Ledger into EPBCS on the required close cadence.
  • Participate in Oracle Fusion design sessions to ensure EPM requirements are addressed upstream - including COA structure, cost center hierarchy, legal entity setup, and intercompany eliminations.
  • Develop and execute an EPM-specific testing strategy (SIT, UAT, parallel run) coordinated with Oracle Fusion go-live milestones and go/no-go gates.
  • Lead cutover planning, data validation, and hypercare activities to ensure EPBCS is fully operational and integrated at ERP go-live.

Platform Administration & Configuration
  • Serve as the primary owner and administrator of the Oracle EPBCS environment, including application design, dimension management, data maps, and security.
  • Build and maintain Planning modules (Financial Statement Planning, Workforce, Capital, and Strategic Modeling) aligned to business requirements.
  • Manage metadata hierarchies, substitution variables, Smart Lists, UDAs, and form/dashboard design.
  • Oversee EPBCS quarterly cloud updates and release readiness testing in a continuous delivery model.
  • Maintain and govern data integration pipelines using Data Management (FDMEE/DM), EPM Automate, and REST APIs.

Business Partnering & Requirements
  • Partner with FP&A, Accounting, and Corporate Finance to gather, document, and prioritize enhancement requests throughout implementation and post go live.
  • Translate complex financial planning requirements into scalable EPBCS configurations and workflows.
  • Facilitate design sessions, user acceptance testing (UAT), and change management activities.
  • Act as a bridge between Finance stakeholders, the Oracle Fusion ERP team, and IT/technology partners.

Reporting & Analytics
  • Design and maintain Planning forms, Dashboards, Infolets, and narrative reporting artifacts.
  • Support management reporting by developing driver-based models and scenario/sensitivity analysis capabilities.
  • Leverage the Oracle Fusion-to-EPBCS integration to deliver timely, accurate actuals within planning and forecasting workflows.

Governance, Controls & Documentation
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including functional design specs, data flow diagrams, integration specs, and user guides.
  • Enforce EPBCS access controls and segregation of duties (SOD) aligned with SOX compliance requirements.
  • Participate in internal and external audit support as the EPM platform subject matter expert.

Continuous Improvement & Team Development
  • Drive continuous improvement of EPBCS capabilities post-go-live, including expanded modules, enhanced driver-based models, and automation opportunities.
  • Evaluate Oracle EPM Cloud quarterly updates and recommend adoption of relevant features.
  • Mentor junior analysts and power users; develop and deliver end-user training programs.
