Full Job Description
The Role at High Level:

We're looking for a talented Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis who doesn't shy away from tackling hard problems and interesting (well, most times) subjects like payroll and HR technology. The Manager, FP&A owns the full budgeting and forecasting process end-to-end, drives revenue and cost analysis, and translates financial data into decisions. This is a high-impact individual contributor role on a lean Finance team, with direct exposure to the VP of Finance and CEO. The role requires someone who can operate independently, move quickly on ad hoc requests, and communicate findings clearly to senior leadership. This is not a supporting role; the expectation is full ownership of the FP&A function.

What You'll Be Expected To Own:
  • Budgets and Forecasts: Own the annual budget process from kickoff through internal sign-off, and maintain the rolling forecast through monthly forecasts and quarterly full-year updates. Build driver-based models connecting headcount, revenue, and OpEx assumptions, and manage scenario planning for key business decisions.
  • Revenue Analysis and Driver Modeling: Build and maintain a revenue model tied to client count, ARPU, churn, expansion, and platform mix across WP 1.0 and WP 2.0. Partner with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to understand pipeline, pricing, and retention inputs.
  • Forecast Variance Analysis and Reporting: Produce forecast vs. previous forecast and forecast vs. budget variance analysis with written narratives. Identify root causes and flag whether a variance is systemic or one-time.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis and Decision Support: Respond to ad hoc modelling and analysis requests from the Director, VP of Finance, and CEO, turning ambiguous questions into decision-ready outputs. Support business case development for strategic initiatives, including ROI and payback analysis.
  • Metrics Ownership: Own the Finance department's metrics tracking framework, reporting monthly on MRR, NRR, Gross Revenue Churn, Gross Margin %, OpEx Ratio, and Rule of 40. Define metric definitions and escalate data quality issues with a remediation recommendation.
  • HiBob and Finqore Platform Ownership: Act as the key Finance stakeholder for the HiBob FP&A integration, covering headcount planning and workforce cost modelling. Partner with the Director of Finance to build out Finqore capabilities and business models.
  • AI Adoption: Stay current on AI tools relevant to FP&A and forecasting. Evaluate and pilot AI-driven solutions to improve modelling efficiency and reporting speed, partnering with the Director of Finance and IT on integration into existing systems.

What You Bring To The Table:
  • 5 to 7 years of FP&A experience, with demonstrated ownership of budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Strong financial modelling skills in Excel and/or Google Sheets. Models must be structured, documented, and reviewable.
  • Experience implementing and operating an integrated budget platform (e.g., HiBob or similar FP&A/budgeting software).
  • Comfortable working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) to pull actuals, run reports, and validate data.
  • Experience with SaaS business models preferred, but not required.
  • Strong written communication.
  • High attention to detail. Self-reviews for errors, footing, and cross-references before anything is shared.

Bonus points if:
  • You have experience working in a SaaS or a tech company.
  • You have a CPA or CFA designation.
  • You have experience implementing AI in financial processes.
  • You're proficient in working with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making.

What We Bring To The Table:

Impact: Roll up your sleeves and directly contribute to the growth and success of Wagepoint by shaping our workforce.
