Summary

The Financial Close Controller team is seeking a highly motivated Finance Transformation Analyst to support and accelerate the transformation of the financial close and reporting environment.

This is a unique position for a business or finance professional passionate about data, analytics, process improvement and automation. The successful candidate will combine financial knowledge with data and analytics capabilities and gain hands-on experience working on high-impact projects that modernize reporting, improve process efficiency, and reduce manual work, while also executing core financial close activities.

Key Responsibilities

Automation, Process Improvement & Data Analytics:
• Partner with internal stakeholders to complete process mapping, understand requirements and translate into future-state workflows
• Identify and implement AI / automation and other process improvements that reduce manual activities, improve efficiency, strengthen data quality, and enhance decision-making
• Manage project timelines, track milestones, and coordinate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support execution
• Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis across multiple systems and data sources (e.g., BigQuery or enterprise data warehouses)
• Build and maintain dashboards (e.g., Power BI, MicroStrategy)
• Ensure all automation solutions are compliant with internal controls, audit requirements, and financial reporting standards
• Contribute to the adoption of modern analytics tools and AI capabilities within Financial Close Controllers
Financial Close Support:
• Support the financial results close process to ensure accurate, complete and timely results through:
• Partnership with various business unit stakeholders to understand the business
• Review and critical analysis of financial results
• Support of various internal and external reporting requirements
• Preparation, review and/or approval of month end transactional processes
• Support of control environment and audit requirements
Tools & Technologies
Exposure to some of the following tools would be an asset; the successful candidate will be expected to develop proficiency over time:
• Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint
• Reporting and analytics: Power BI, MicroStrategy
• Automation and workflow: Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Alteryx
• Data/querying: SQL, BigQuery or similar data

Critical Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant experience
  • Exposure to finance concepts (e.g., P&L, balance sheet, KPIs)
  • Experience with data tools, coding, or analytics projects


Preferred Qualifications

  • Curious and eager to learn new tools and technologies
  • Interested in automation, AI, and modern data practices in Finance
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts simply
  • Ability to break down complex problems and identify key drivers
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with both technical and business teams
  • Proactive mindset with ability to take ownership of work


Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
