Job Description Summary The Manager – Field Operations and Engagement plays a critical role in driving operational excellence and supporting business growth for the Ameriprise Financial Institution Group (AFIG). This position provides leadership, operational and strategic oversight to deliver business outcomes and results. Working closely with advisors, staff, and AFIG channel leadership, this role ensures seamless client service delivery through effective systems, processes, and team leadership. This role is responsible for overall AFIG channel activity and execution of growth strategies, including managing a team to achieve business goals and deliver measurable results. Key Responsibilities Business Operations & Strategy Execution • Lead initiatives that drive revenue growth, enhance client experience, and improve operational efficiency. • Align resources to support key performance metrics, including client acquisition, GDC, net flows, retention, and digital adoption. • Partner with AFIG leadership, advisors, and staff to operationalize business priorities. • Support client acquisition strategies through structured tracking and impact analysis. Operational Oversight & Engagement • Oversee activities that support business results, revenue growth, and client experience. • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify next best actions and continuous improvement opportunities. • Partner with compliance teams to ensure training and regulatory standards are met. • Drive change management through effective communication, training, and coaching. Team Leadership & Talent Development • Conduct regular one-on-ones and team meetings to foster engagement and development. • Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance management for direct reports. • Collaborate with senior operations leadership to determine staffing needs and allocate resources. • Champion a culture of coaching, mentoring, and continuous improvement. • Support onboarding of advisors and staff for large financial institutions, ensuring an exceptional experience. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. • 5–7 years of relevant experience. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to motivate teams and deliver results. • Proficiency in business software applications. • Ability to work in Corporate office or AAG Field; some travel required. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
