Job Description

The Manager, Facilities at Marina Hospital (CSMH) is responsible for planning, maintaining and managing hospital facilities, equipment, and systems. This position works closely with senior leadership and physician management to survey, maintain and repair facilities and systems directly and/or by managing 3rd party specialists and service providers. This position is responsible for the development of facility and equipment maintenance projects from investigation to design and implementation including planning and overseeing scope of work, budget, schedule, and logistics. In addition to managing 3rd party specialists/service providers, this position will directly supervise the work of in-house resources and will provide project management for diverse health system teams to include FPDC, EIS and CSMH resources.
  • Manages and directs facility maintenance functions related to programmatic and clinical operations. Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing, or arranging for repairs of facilities/equipment/systems to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of hospital site.
  • Establishes, negotiates, and manages contracts with external service providers. Monitors contractors, performs audits, and establishes routine routes and timings for cleaning and facility maintenance. Ensures outsourced services report and provide documentation, and incident management and training requirements
  • Assists with budget preparation and responsible for budget tracking and planning.
  • Supervises facilities equipment performance, including but not limited to HVAC equipment. Oversees audits for quality and safety. Creates a plan of action to address deficiencies and optimize stabilize performance.
  • Provides oversight to capital facility and operational projects.
  • Oversees proper engineering and preventive maintenance in the operation and maintenance of all equipment, services and systems, including but not limited to mechanical , electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. Oversees periodic testing of the equipment systems, including but are not limited to: air handling units (including both rooftop and built-up units), re-circulating air systems, water pumping systems, cooling plant and all plumbing system components Respond timely, manage and resolve facility emergencies.
  • Coordinates contractor, and management approvals for work orders that require the use of an outside contractor. Manages the outsourced site services (such as building, janitorial cleaning, waste handling, building maintenance, and landscape) and ensures compliance with program and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops quality and mechanical control programs to stabilize and improve facility/systems performance.
  • Develops pragmatic, fiscally responsible and responsive action plans, resolving issues efficiently through identification and assessment of root causes.
  • Develops, reviews and revises standard operating policies and procedures related to facility/systems maintenance; develops best practices and scale across CSMH.
  • Provides input/recommendations and strategic analysis to inform long-range plans to meet specific goals to support growth and optimal functioning of clinical facility.
  • Collaborates with leadership in the development of fiscally responsible plan for needed resources across CSMH.
  • Recruits, retains and provides oversight of facilities team in conjunction with geographic expansion of CSMH.

Qualifications

Education
