Job Description:As the Manager, External Communications, this role will be responsible for enhancing the Veloxis corporate brand and stakeholder engagement. The primary function of this position is to facilitate a deeper understanding of Veloxis' business strategy and operations amongst relevant parties. This is achieved by implementing a comprehensive and coordinated set of activities, including press releases, social media and website management to enhance awareness, recognition and trust for the company.Summary of Key ResponsibilitiesPublic Relations Support:
- Develop and execute public relations strategies that enhance brand visibility and reputation, including press releases and media outreach.
Social Media Management:
- Manage Veloxis and subsidiary company LinkedIn channels, developing and publishing content aligned with business objectives.
- Drive audience growth and engagement through strategic initiatives, evaluate performance, and maintain an integrated corporate communications calendar.
- Website Management: Support strategy and content development for the corporate website, ensuring timely updates and alignment with brand and business milestones.
Brand Management:
- Collaborate with Director, Corporate Communications to maintain and enhance corporate brand messaging and identity guidelines.
- Ensure consistent messaging and oversee the development of communications materials including fact sheets, brochures, and other collateral that effectively tell the brand story.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and community organizations, to foster positive relationships and promote corporate reputation.
- Engage with internal cross-functional teams to understand their news, milestones, and activities in support of creating and curating content that elevates corporate reputation and supports business goals.
- Measurement and Analysis: Track and analyze the performance of marketing and communications activities, using data and metrics to evaluate effectiveness, optimize strategies, and inform future decision-making.
- Event Support: Capture high-quality pictures and videos at events to document key moments, facilitate post-event content creation, and enhance brand storytelling across digital and traditional channels.
- Digital Marketing: Implements digital marketing initiatives, including email campaigns, social media advertising, and content marketing to increase brand awareness and support business objectives.
Required Qualifications and SkillsSkills and Abilities- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, including proofreading and editing skills.
- Knowledge of digital media utilization (e.g., website, LinkedIn marketing) and flexibility to proactively adapt and incorporate new communication methods.
- A self-starter who seeks action items to achieve goals independently. Capable of proposing hypothetical solutions and managing all aspects from planning through execution to evaluation phases.
- Use sound judgement when evaluating communications opportunities, risks, and stakeholder needs to support effective business decisions.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally.
Minimum Requirements- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Work Experience: 4-6 years of appropriate business experience in Communications or an equivalent field.
- Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of the US pharmaceutical regulatory environment, FDA regulations, compliance obligations, and industry standards, with the ability to ensure communications activities align with applicable guidelines.
- Demonstrated experience developing engaging social media content, including video, graphic design, and written communications, with working knowledge of Adobe or other digital design platforms.

The base compensation range for this role is $95k-$110k depending upon experience. Base Compensation is influenced by many factors including, but not limited to: time in the role, previous experience, skills, knowledge, performance, work requirements, internal equity, and business / economic conditions.
