Manager - Enterprise Projects
$137,200 - $171,500 | Hybrid with in-person reporting to one of the following Minnesota locations: Duluth, Cloquet, Eveleth, Cohasset, Coleraine, Little Falls or New Salem, ND.

What you'll do
  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of project managers and project professionals executing some of the company's largest and most strategic capital investments, typically ranging from $50 million to more than $1 billion. Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning while promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement that drives exceptional safety, schedule, cost, and quality performance.
  • Direct all phases of project planning and execution, including development of project scopes, work plans, budgets, schedules, key milestones, commissioning strategies, and operational readiness plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Manage project resources, contracts, and performance by forecasting and coordinating internal and external resources. Overseeing contractor performance and payments, implementing effective project controls, risk management, and status reporting processes.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication and collaboration with leadership, employees, customers, community stakeholders, government agencies, vendors, and other affected parties to support successful project outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance, safety, and environmental stewardship by maintaining adherence to applicable federal, state, and company safety requirements, securing and managing environmental and operating permits, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory obligations.

What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's degree PLUS ten years or more related experience
  • Demonstrated success leading, developing, and mentoring project professionals while overseeing the planning and execution of major capital investments in the electric utility, infrastructure, engineering, construction, or industrial sectors.
  • A valid driver's license and the responsibility to maintain it.
  • Strong project management, engineering, and construction background.
  • A high level of interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain positive working relationships inside and outside the Company.

How to stand out
  • Have a professional engineering license, advanced professional degree (MBA), certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant Project Management Institute (PMI) certification program.
  • Have experience in construction, industrial projects, engineering, operations, and capital project execution within the utility or energy industry.
  • Experience in project management, process improvement and vendor/contract management.

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $137,200 - $171,500. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, and experience. Additionally, this position qualifies for a comprehensive benefits package including:
