Enterprise Project Controls Leader
$94,000 - $117,000 | Hybrid with in-person reporting to one of the following Minnesota locations: Duluth, Cloquet, Eveleth, Cohasset, Coleraine, or Little Falls

In this leadership role, you'll strengthen project performance through world-class project controls, helping deliver complex transmission, renewable energy, and energy storage projects that power our EnergyForward vision.

What you'll do
  • Lead teams in the development, standardization, and implementation of cost control, schedule management, risk management, and document control processes across the project portfolio.
  • Direct the development, maintenance, and monitoring of project budgets, forecasts, expenditures, invoices, and schedules to ensure financial stewardship and achievement of key project milestones.
  • Analyze cost and schedule performance, identify risks and variances, and implement mitigation and recovery strategies to maintain project objectives and portfolio performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners, and project teams to support contract reviews, negotiations, compliance requirements, and alignment with project scope, budget, and risk management strategies.
  • Develop and deliver standardized dashboards, reports, and performance analytics that provide actionable insights into project costs, schedules, risks, and overall portfolio health for stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Provide oversight of portfolio risk management and document control practices to ensure effective governance, compliance, and project execution.

What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering or a related field.
  • Eight years or more experience in project controls, project management, finance, construction, utilities, or a similar field.
  • A valid driver's license and the responsibility to maintain it.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain productive working relationships.

How to stand out
  • Have experience supporting budgeting, cost control, and scheduling for large-scale capital projects, preferably in a utility, construction, or similar environment.
  • Possess project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • Be proficient utilizing project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Power BI, Oracle)

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $94,000 - $117,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
