Job Description:Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Enrolment Management Services, the Manager, Enrolment Services and Student Success leads the Registrar's Office's integrated enrolment-service and student-success portfolio. The position is accountable for the design, governance, performance and continuous improvement of in-person, telephone and digital services that intersect and enable the complete student enrolment journey. Aligned with the Strategic Enrolment Management (SEM) Plan, the Manager leads 27 full-time and non-full-time FTE across three staff groups comprising academic advising, enrolment service, specialized processing, and student support functions. The role establishes operating plans, service standards, procedures, performance measures, resource priorities and training requirements; manages employee performance and capability; and resolves complex student and service matters. It ensures services are accurate, timely, accessible and compliant with College policies, legislative requirements, financial controls and collective agreements.
The Manager leads the Registrar's Office academic-advising function and its contribution to retention, onboarding, early-intervention and student-success initiatives. The position works with academic and service partners to improve advising practices, support students at risk and use service and outcome data to strengthen progression, persistence, enrolment and student satisfaction.
The role also leads technology-enabled service transformation, process redesign and operational adoption of Client Relations Management (CRM), queue-management, communications solutions, reporting and emerging technologies. The Manager works across college areas to implement approved institutional initiatives and ensures the portfolio operates within applicable policy, legislative, financial, privacy and accessibility requirements.
Required Qualifications:- Minimum four (4) year degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Education, Student Affairs, or a related field. Equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience may be accepted in place of formal education
- Advanced knowledge of postsecondary enrolment services, academic policies, advising and referral frameworks, privacy and accessibility requirements, and student service operations.
- Formal training in continuous improvement, service design, or change management, or the ability to obtain it within a defined timeframe.
- Minimum seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in postsecondary enrolment, student services, or a similarly complex public-service environment, including at least five years of people leadership experience.
- Experience managing high-volume, multi-channel service operations in a unionized or policy-governed environment, including policy implementation, resource planning, and service delivery oversight.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, resolve workplace issues, and maintain a high standard of client service.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, employees, senior leaders, and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data, metrics, and business processes to support decision-making, service improvement, and operational planning.
- Experience leading service, process, or technology improvement initiatives, including change management and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience with academic advising, student progression, retention, or early-intervention services, or transferable experience in a comparable setting.
- Proficiency with enterprise systems and reporting tools, including CRM, Student Information Systems, queue management technologies, Microsoft 365, Power BI, and related platforms.
- Experience in an Ontario postsecondary institution is preferred.
