The OpportunityWe are seeking a Manager, Engineering to lead our PaaS and Pipeline Reliability Operations activities within Developer Productivity Operations. This role leads the engineering team responsible for 24/7 stability, performance, and scalability across our CI/CD pipelines and core development platforms. You will combine technical expertise and operational leadership to drive continuous delivery and platform reliability.
Your Role- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team focused on Developer Productivity Operations, CI/CD systems, and developer enablement platforms.
- Infrastructure & Platform Ownership: Own performance and reliability for core tools, including GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gerrit, and repository services.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain 99.9%+ uptime across environments while defining and tracking team SLAs, KPIs, and system metrics.
- Automation & Pipeline Optimization: Drive continuous automation initiatives across environments to eliminate manual processes and increase system resilience.
- Incident & Governance Oversight: Direct incident response efforts, execute root cause analysis, and ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
- Cross-Functional Escalation: Serve as the primary escalation point for complex operational issues (requiring occasional off-hours availability) and partner across engineering, security, and platform teams.
What You Will Bring- Leadership: Experience managing or leading technical teams within modern DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Broad experience with enterprise repository, artifact, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Gerrit, and Artifactory.
- Operational Focus: Proven ability to manage high-availability infrastructure environments and uphold strict SLAs/KPIs.
- Continuous Improvement: High proficiency with driving continuous improvement and system resilience through rigorous root cause analysis (RCA) and post-incident reviews.
- Strategic Evaluation: Track record of evaluating and implementing new tools and technologies to improve the software delivery ecosystem.
Work ArrangementHybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 0 and USD $ 0 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
