Bring your valuable talents to NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital located in Cortlandt Manor, Upper Westchester, NY. As Manager of Facilities Operations, under the supervision of the Field Director, you will assist in the development, implementation, and administration of programs to maintain mechanical, electrical, HVAC/refrigeration, Building Management Systems (BMS), plumbing, medical gas, physical plant, grounds, and equipment at designated NYP sites. Through effective utilization of personnel and resources, you will manage, coordinate, and oversee staff, operations, construction initiatives, and capital projects.

Engineering Manager - Engineering - Full Time

In this highly visible leadership role, you will provide direction and oversight for the Engineering and Maintenance team by scheduling work, assigning responsibilities, supervising daily activities, and ensuring operational excellence. You will support staff development through training, coaching, performance management, and ongoing professional growth while promoting accountability, safety, and efficiency.

You will oversee the operation, maintenance, and inspection of facility systems and equipment, including HVAC systems, fire protection systems, plumbing, medical gas, electrical infrastructure, and Building Management Systems (BMS). Working closely with contractors and internal stakeholders, you will monitor special projects, ensure adherence to regulatory standards, and maintain a safe and reliable healthcare environment.

Additionally, you will provide engineering support for capital projects during design and construction, coordinate shutdowns, review shop drawings, oversee commissioning activities, and direct responses to facility emergencies. This position requires participation in emergency response efforts and availability for after-hours support as needed.

As a leader within Facilities Operations, you will assist with departmental budgeting, procurement activities, regulatory compliance, quality improvement initiatives, and the strategic management of the hospital's physical plant while fostering a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement. This is a full-time position at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital (located in Cortlandt Manor, Westchester County, NY).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise Engineering and Maintenance personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Oversee maintenance, inspection, and operation of facility infrastructure and utility systems.
  • Direct preventive maintenance programs and monitor system performance.
  • Manage contractors, construction activities, and capital improvement projects.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response efforts for facility-related incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with budget preparation, procurement, and operational planning.

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient, employee, and organizational information.
  • Participate in hiring, training, performance management, and development of team members.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid New York State Driver's License.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience with demonstrated supervisory responsibility.
  • Minimum of 5 years of occupational-specific experience.
  • Knowledge of city, state, and federal building and safety codes.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission Environment of Care and Life Safety Standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and building plans.
  • Ability to provide leadership, direction, and supervision.
  • Strong business acumen and effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Understanding of CMMS systems, preventive maintenance programs, and asset management.
  • Ability to maintain awareness of the responsibilities associated with maintaining and servicing a healthcare facility.

Salary Range:

$116,500-$167,500/Annual
