POSITION TITLE: Manager - Engineering (M2)
Through the administration of both external vendor and internal resources, the Manager - Engineering leads technical teams and initiatives to support the successful and consistent delivery of Crown Castle engineering services related to wireless telecommunication supporting structures.
Through leadership of internal teams and external partners, the Manager - Engineering is responsible for driving the safe, efficient, and scalable delivery of engineering services supporting wireless telecommunications infrastructure. This role leads a production-oriented organization focused on operational excellence, engineering quality, customer outcomes, and continuous improvement. The position is accountable for optimizing resources, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, driving automation and process transformation initiatives, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to deliver consistent, high-quality results at scale.
WHAT YOU WILL DO- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing production organization focused on safety, quality, throughput, customer experience, and continuous improvement.
- Drive operational performance through effective workforce planning, resource allocation, productivity management, and utilization strategies to maximize organizational output and efficiency.
- Establish and maintain a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous development aligned with company values and business objectives.
- Own production performance metrics including capacity, cycle time, backlog management, quality performance, customer satisfaction, and delivery commitments.
- Ensure consistent adherence to engineering standards, design criteria, regulatory requirements, and internal quality processes to maintain technical excellence and mitigate risk.
- Drive automation, standardization, and process optimization initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, increase scalability, and enhance customer outcomes.
- Identify operational bottlenecks, systemic issues, and emerging business needs; proactively develop and implement solutions that improve organizational effectiveness and service delivery.
- Lead organizational change initiatives and transformation efforts with a focus on minimizing disruption while improving processes, systems, and team capabilities.
- Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Customer Implementation, Assets & Operations, customers, and other business functions to align priorities, remove obstacles, and improve end-to-end delivery performance.
- Manage engineering production resources across internal teams and external partners to ensure capacity aligns with business demand and customer expectations.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance regarding engineering challenges, risk assessments, engineering evaluations, and complex customer issues.
- Drive a solutions-oriented culture that empowers teams to resolve issues proactively, escalate risks appropriately, and continuously improve customer experience.
- Utilize data, analytics, forecasting, and performance trends to support strategic decision making, resource planning, and operational improvements.
- Support enterprise initiatives through collaboration, consultation, and subject matter expertise related to wireless telecommunications infrastructure and engineering services.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEEDEducation Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree, technical field preferred.
Experience Qualifications- 5+ years of experience leading engineering, operations, production, or technical organizations within wireless telecommunications or related industries
- Demonstrated experience leading production organizations with accountability for throughput, quality, utilization, and customer outcomes
- Experience driving operational transformation, automation initiatives, and process improvement programs

CompensationThe salary range offered for this position is $124800 - $171600 annually. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives.
