Akima Data Management is looking for a Emergency Manager to work in Alexandria Virginia. Applicants should have previous Emergency Management experience and preferably experience with Continuity of Operations, maintaining policies, procedures and evaluation of agency readiness. Responsibilities

  • Manages the Emergency Management Systems and the associated annual awareness training program.
  • Prepare for all national level exercises (NLE) to include EAGLE HORIZON, submission of Quick Look and Continuity Status Reports.
  • Develop and update Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) and program to remains in compliance with federal regulations, to include the Federal Continuity Directive (FCD); National Continuity Policy Implementation Plan (NCPIP); National Cyber Incident Response Plan (NCIRP), and federal best practices.
  • Oversees the contingency response and antiterrorism.
  • Develop and prepare COOP for annual evaluation using the most recent FEMA Continuity Evaluation Tool (CET) with the stated objective to earn exemplary scores.
  • Manages emergency planning, documenting, and publications of the emergency plan.
  • Develops and submits proposed guidance and coordinates with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles. Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.
  • Manage Archibus key management account: train staff on use of key module; support section in responding to key requests and provide key reports for staff.
  • Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies.
  • Assist with communication security Inventory of classified materials utilizing DIAS support systems, changing combinations, updating access lists, ensuring cryptographic information is up to date annually, and weekly room inspections for potential security violations.

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 5 - 7 years of equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Preferred Associate Emergency Manager or Certified Emergency Manager.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Exemplary attention to detail.
  • Strong operational skills that include the ability to develop and implement strategies and action plans to achieve desired objectives.
