About the Role

Within that, the role scope focuses on improving marketplace reliability by encouraging and rewarding earners. The team works on incentive-based programs, recognition mechanisms, quality signals, eligibility criteria, and product experiences that help earners understand how to improve and deliver great service. In this role, the candidate will shape the processes that drive better quality at scale, improve trust, strengthen marketplace health, and create a more rewarding experience for top earners.

What you will do

Shape and execute the strategy for earner experience initiatives that improve quality, strengthen positive earner engagement, and reward top earners.

Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Design, Operations, and Marketplace teams to shape future launches, define success metrics, and build a clear experimentation roadmap for earner experience.

Design, review, and run experiments that test new quality incentives, rewards, eligibility criteria, and product experiences, using results to inform launch, iteration, or scale decisions.

Lead cross-functional operating forums, drive alignment across stakeholders, and prepare clear updates for executive leadership on strategy, progress, risks, and impact.

Collect qualitative and quantitative insights from earners, city teams, marketplace health data, and earner roundtables to identify the highest-priority quality problems and translate them into actionable product and program work.

Work closely with Marketplace and Consumer teams to improve rider-earner matching quality, strengthen reliability, and ensure quality initiatives balance earner experience, rider experience, and business outcomes.

Basic Qualifications

Strong technical judgment and product fluency, with the ability to understand data, systems, experimentation, and product tradeoffs well enough to make high-quality decisions independently.

Proven ability to operate with ownership and independence, including driving ambiguous workstreams, setting direction, identifying risks, and moving projects forward without heavy oversight.

Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Operations, Legal, and other stakeholders to align teams and drive execution.

Preferred Qualifications

Deep understanding of ridesharing marketplace dynamics, including how rider demand, earner supply, pricing, incentives, quality, and reliability interact at scale.

Experience partnering closely with Operations teams, with a track record of translating local market needs and operational insights into scalable product or program decisions.

Demonstrated history of driving measurable impact at scale, ideally through roles that improved marketplace health, customer experience, earner outcomes, reliability, or business performance.

Strong strategic and executional range, with the ability to connect high-level business priorities to practical product, policy, and operational mechanisms that can be launched and measured.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year.

You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
