Job DescriptionAs Manager - Digital Portfolio Manager, you will lead critical workstreams in the strategic Authorizations Modernization Program (AMP) to transform AXP's authorization business process and platforms from legacy mainframe to modern distributed cloud native design. You will work with cross-functional program/project teams to ensure the desired results are achieved, actively overseeing journey delivery, testing, and migration.
This role requires strong organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder leadership skills and should have the ability to influence across multiple levels of leadership. The incumbent must work well in a dynamic, sophisticated environment and under deadline pressures and be able to coordinate the efforts of a large agile team. The incumbent will work closely with a wide array of Strategy, Product & Technology teams, as well as partner in areas such as Servicing, Non-Risk, and Operational Risk.
Responsibilities- Program Governance: AENB81 adherence - maintaining program's RAIDD log, creating Project plan artifact, documenting steering group materials, artifact submission
- Program Governance: IAG Support - response & walkthrough for IAG, preparing materials for IAG requests, directing asks to accountable teams, minimize governance-related findings
- Journey Readiness & Delivery Support Point of Sale: absorb KPMG tasks for delivery & execution reporting, governing JIRA data, tracking readiness for PI, mid PI kanban features
- AMP Program Data Insights & Reporting: program reporting for readiness, capacity views & forecast
- Support the Program Management Office, including planning and coordinating activities, through all phases of the software delivery life cycle for the migration of journeys from CAS to AMP.
- Lead journey progress for Fraud, Non-Risk & Platform journeys.
- Drive clear, transparent program communications using dashboards and status reports.
- Partner with key stakeholders in Product & Solution Management to document and track Capabilities & Features.
- Build and leverage relationships with key project stakeholders across multiple lines of business.
- Identify gaps in existing processes and implement improvements.
- Be an influencer and a self-starter with the ability to lead the program without the need for explicit direction.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:- Experience in the Credit or Fraud Risk domain, having executed transformational or change management roles.
- Experience in delivering large and complex projects in matrixed organizations and interacting with teams across all lines of defense.
- Strong problem-solving skills: ability to see the big picture while focusing attention on critical details.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Excellent Microsoft Suite skills (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Ability to lead informed technical discussions with engineering teams within and outside the Risk organization.
- Degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- SAFE, Project Management Professional (PMI) or equivalent Project Management certification is preferred.
