MANAGER, DIGITAL MEDIASummaryThe National Fish and Wildlife Foundation's (NFWF) Manager, Digital Media helps shape NFWF's online presence by managing social media, website content, email campaigns, and digital storytelling. The Manager will analyze performance metrics to optimize engagement, ensure consistent branding across platforms, and create multimedia content, including posts and photo galleries. Key duties include creating and scheduling content to post, supporting NFWF's communications and marketing team, including cross-training on other skills and duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Content Creation & Graphic Support: Produce, edit and design digital assets related to wildlife and conservation, including photos, graphics, posts, narratives and short-form videos for web, social, and email
- Social Media Management: Create, schedule and monitor content across all social channels to drive engagement and brand awareness.
- Analytics and reporting: Use Meltwater and other tools to track, analyze, and report on web traffic, social media metrics, and campaign performance.
- Website and email maintenance: Update NFWF's website with featured content, images, press releases, requests for grant proposals and a range of other content. Work with communications and marketing team to develop new and compelling digital tools and features to share compelling conservation stories, images, videos and interactive content.
- NFWF's daily newsletter: Work as lead member of a team that monitors daily press stories about NFWF, wildlife conservation, funding partners and other subjects. Compiles stories into a daily newsletter that is distributed to NFWF staff and its Board of Directors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS) - Education and knowledge: Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or fields related to wildlife conservation. Strong understanding of wildlife, ecology and conservation required.
- Experience: At least three years of experience in social media, marketing, digital content creation, or related storytelling experience related to wildlife conservation.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of SEO, web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), and social media platforms. Familiarity with content creation tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign). Ability to edit image files required; ability to edit video files preferred.
- Skills: Strong written/verbal communication, attention to detail, project management, and ability to work under tight deadlines. Understanding of and experience with digital and visual storytelling, preferably related to wildlife conservation.
COMPENSATION $85K per year (Starting range based on experience)
Note: Salary is negotiable and may be higher depending on the candidate's skills and experience.
