The PositionThe is accepting applications for Manager - Credentials Services.
Under the direction of an assigned administrator, organizes and directs the activities and operations of the Santa Clara County Office of Education's Credentials Services Department; supervises the processing and approval of credentials for certificated employees of the schools throughout the County; supervises the registration of credentials and State-mandated assignment monitoring; train and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel; provides professional development and training opportunities for assigned personnel.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in the licensing and credentialing standards, procedures, and regulations governing professional educators in the State of California. They will be an effective leader and coach with exceptional communication, capable of building strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong customer-service orientation, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges. This position is full-time, in-person and has a work year of 12 months, 260 days per year, 8 hours per day.
Leadership team members are eligible to receive a $2,500 annual stipend for a master's degree and a $2,500 additional stipend for a doctorate, provide official documentation is submitted.

Education and ExperienceAny combination equivalent to:
- Education: Graduation from high school supplemented by college-level course work in human resources or related field, and
- Experience: Five years increasingly responsible human resources experience including three years of experience in certificated personnel and credentials.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid California driver's license.

- Based on the final scores of qualified candidates, Classified Personnel Services will establish a ranked candidate list.
- Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a second interview with the hiring authorities, tentatively scheduled for the August 20, 2026
- Second interview may be held in-person.
