The Opportunity

Creative Development & Production Managers are the heartbeat of the title social campaign’s asset execution and creative production strategy. They possess a unique blend of creative vision, production planning, and business proficiency.  In partnership with Title Social and Platform Managers, they are responsible for ideating and fully executing the creative vision to support our titles - from development to delivery, leading teams of physical production partners, directors, editors, and writers to bring the creative vision to life. They are challenged to inspire and brainstorm fresh ideas; then develop, produce, and deliver creative content that pushes our content into the social zeitgeist.

The ideal candidate will have a social media background, entertainment experience, and excellent editorial judgment to balance the needs of our business and cut through in the social space. They will have experience working with executives, filmmakers, showrunners, talent, talent representatives, agencies, and production partners. It is necessary to have strong creative vision, sharp production skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This role will lead creative development for key programming opportunities in partnership with Social Managers to support title launches across the film slate. However, there will be flex projects across other verticals.  

  • Responsible for the creative output of a title from production capture, one off shoots, and quick turn edits to best support the creative needs of a project. 

  • Merge creative ideation with existing platform knowledge (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter & TikTok, Pinterest etc.) with an eye for creative opportunities. 

  • Work closely with Netflix’s Photo and AV Studio (PAVS) for on-set capture and content strategy and creative opportunities during production.

  • Determine the production infrastructure needed for execution of creative vision. This can  include but is not limited to  management of the production ecosystem. 

  • Serve as the lead for social content capture days, working to dictate physical production needs.

  • Manage budgets and communicate costs clearly to cross functional partners. 

  • Lead oversight of: vendor selection, physical shoot preparation, post-production including graphics, music, etc and final asset lock.

  • Work with social managers to lead audits of what is over/under performing in our social ecosystems and make the appropriate changes to the creative slate. 

The ideal candidate is/has:

  • Has 8+ years experience in production in entertainment or adjacent industries with directing experience. 

  • A robust creative portfolio and proven track record of strong editorial creative that gets written, shared and talked about.

  • Strong producer who knows how to bring a creative vision to life and possesses strong relationships in the production community.

  • Highly knowledgeable is social platform performance and the proper creative to succeed on individual platforms. 

  •  A knack for building strong cross functional relationships particularly with others who are generating creative content across a campaign - Title Marketing, Product Studio, and PAVs.

  • Knowledge of what works across the various social media platforms and experience in multi-channel distribution efforts. 

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and highly collaborative - loves working with others, isn’t afraid to lead or follow.

  • Experience using data and intuition to make content that grabs attention and engages its audience. Strong social media analytics, but isn’t afraid to take big risks.

  • Must be able to prioritize and handle several projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment while adhering to shifting deadlines.

  • High tolerance for change, and the capacity to accomplish enormous amounts of work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

  • Respect, understanding and enthusiasm for Netflix culture. 

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $177,000.00 - $306,000.00.
