Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to lead Carlisle-managed inbound and outbound transportation operations which includes transportation planning, sourcing, negotiation, carrier management and training. This role requires extensive collaboration with Plant Shipping Operations and Order Management. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of CCM's brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.

The position operates on a standard schedule from Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Approximately 10-15% travel time required for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of 3 to 4 Transportation Operations Analysts
  • Lead day-to-day transportation operations which include delivery, load, equipment, and mode optimization, optimal carrier planning (including CCM Fleet driver planning) to meet service and financial objectives, and outbound capacity planning and reporting
  • Partner with plant shipping operations to plan transportation based on outbound capacity and plant-specific logistics strategies.
  • Carrier Management: Lead carrier scorecard and business reviews, driving increased carrier performance and service value.
  • Support RFP (Request for Pricing) and mini-bid events.
  • Assist in developing long-term TMS strategies to maximize cost and resource efficiency.
  • Assist in problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in Transportation, Carrier Management, or Logistics
  • 1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience
  • Preferred:
  • Experience with SAP and WMS/Warehouse Management Systems
  • Flatbed Trucking Industry Knowledge
  • DOT and Hazardous materials regulations


Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based with regular travel to manufacturing, warehouse, and construction sites across the United States.
  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors depending on project stage and type.
  • Exposure to typical construction and manufacturing environments including noise, dust, and variable weather conditions.
  • 10-15% travel required for site visits, project reviews, and vendor or regulatory meetings.

The position typically operates during standard business hours of Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm), with occasional flexibility required to accommodate meetings across time zones or critical business needs. The employee is expected to comply with all company policies related to data security, confidentiality, and remote work standards.

Periodic travel may be required for team meetings, training, or company events, with advance notice provided. The company will reimburse travel expenses in accordance with its travel and expense policy.
