Responsibilities

  • Oversee air freight product profitability and improve operational efficiencies
  • Manage ground cost margins and prepare monthly activity/revenue reports
  • Prepare rate quotations for customers and overseas offices
  • Lead vendor relations to ensure high service levels and assist in customer inquiries
  • Ensure the accuracy of invoices and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Assist in annual budget preparation for the area
  • Supervise staff, including hiring, coaching, training, and development
  • Maintain employee records and conduct yearly performance reviews.

Job Title: Airfreight Supervisor
Job Location: Dallas, TX


We have an exciting opportunity for an Airfreight Supervisor to oversee the timely and accurate movement of air freight shipments and documentation. This position will be based at our Dallas, TX location.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Responsible for Air Freight product profitability including continuous improvement processes to increase efficiencies, reduces waste, and improve performance to our customers
  • Supervisor and control ground cost margins and prepares monthly activity / revenue reports.
  • Prepares and provides customers and overseas offices with rate quotations
  • Leads related vendors to ensure the highest level of service is achieved as well as assists and answers customer inquiries and other related customer service functions
  • Responsible for the accuracy of invoices, bills of lading, shipping statements, and the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Assists in annual budget preparation for area of responsibility
  • Supervises staff, responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing staff.
  • Maintains employee records and completes yearly employee performance reviews
Skills / Qualifications :
  • 4+ years' experience with Airfreight operations and documentation within a freight forwarding or airline environment required, air export preferred
  • 1+ years' leadership experience strongly preferred
  • DG / Hazmat / TSA regulation working experience preferred
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
  • CargoWise software experience a plus
  • BA/BS preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
  • Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills
Pay Range: $79,777.50 - $106,370.00+ (Based on Experience)
