What is the opportunity?

In the role of Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of a team of Senior Specialists responsible for the timely and accurate management of client instructions and corporate action tenders to our depositories and agents on voluntary and mandatory with choice events. The role includes but is not limited to ability to make decisions within area of responsibility, collaboration with colleagues across the organization to get things done, advocating a culture of continuous improvement, and being an access point for resolution of complex event issues as escalated by team members. You will also provide focus and guidance in establishing individual goals, driving performance, and supporting career development for your staff.

What will you do?
  • Provide procedural and technical support to employees ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all corporate action entitlements while mitigating risk and creating optimal client experience.
  • Establish an environment of continuous improvement that assesses workflow, processes and procedures on an ongoing basis, ensuring maximum efficiency and quality.
  • Management of key risk indicators through the continuous root cause analysis of errors and omissions and the implementation of controls designed to mitigate risk and prevent re-occurrences.
  • Raise and track issues and escalate to appropriate level where required. Manage complex issues through to resolution working with various stakeholders.
  • Ensure the Entitlement Support Services Team is kept appraised of all potential client facing issues (outstanding payments, discrepancies with the paying agent, etc.)
  • Maintenance of satisfactory internal and external Audit/Regulatory/Risk Ratings and Reviews for area of responsibility.
  • Provide focus and clarity in establishing individual goals, driving performance, supporting career development and rewarding individual and team success.
  • Participate in the various Entitlements working groups and, in the development, and implementation of ongoing operational changes.


What do you need to succeed?

Must have:
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management abilities
  • 5 Years' Securities Industry experience
  • knowledge of corporate action principles required to make decisions on non-standard CA events.
  • Good judgment at evaluating risk
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:
$67,000.00 - $110,000.00
