Job Overview

The Manager, Contracting & Pricing Strategy is responsible for leading the organization's contracting and pricing function, including contract lifecycle management, pricing governance, commercial analytics, and process optimization. This role manages a team responsible for contract administration, pricing execution, rebate management, customer affiliations, and related commercial operations. The position partners closely with Sales, Finance, Customer Service, Operations, and Executive Leadership to ensure contractual compliance, pricing integrity, revenue protection, and margin optimization. The role also leverages AI-enabled tools and analytics to improve pricing visibility, identify contract and margin trends, support forecasting, and strengthen decision-making across commercial and finance stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

Team Leadership & Functional Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of contract and pricing professionals.
  • Establish departmental priorities, performance expectations, and service levels.
  • Allocate resources and workload across the team to support business objectives.
  • Drive employee engagement, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Create a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer service.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures are documented, maintained, and followed.

Contracting Strategy & Operations
  • Oversee the lifecycle management of Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO), Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), distribution, local, and strategic customer agreements.
  • Partner with cross functional leaders, legal and compliance teams to ensure contract compliance and adherence to company policies.
  • Manage contract renewals, amendments, expirations, and approvals.
  • Maintain contract repository integrity and audit readiness.
  • Support commercial negotiations through contract analysis and recommendations.

Pricing Governance & Commercial Excellence
  • Lead pricing governance processes and pricing approval frameworks.
  • Review and approve pricing exceptions within established authority levels.
  • Oversee annual pricing initiatives, CPI adjustments, and contract price updates.
  • Ensure pricing consistency across channels, customers, and contractual obligations.
  • Evaluate pricing opportunities and risks to support profitability objectives.

Analytics & Business Insights
  • Develop, present and maintain reporting on contract performance, pricing effectiveness, and margin trends.
  • Monitor agreement compliance and profitability.
  • Identify pricing leakage and revenue recovery opportunities.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and strategic recommendations.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and commercial planning activities.
  • Apply AI-enabled analytics, automation, and modeling tools to evaluate pricing patterns, margin trends, customer contract performance, and revenue recovery opportunities.
  • Apply knowledge of business concepts, procedures and practices and work with the field sales leadership to win new business and establish new processes across the Getinge organization.
  • Work closely with stakeholders in legal, sales, commercial operations, commercial support, marketing, finance and regulatory on Getinge projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to partner with work cross-functional stake holders at all levels in the organization including senior leadership.
  • Strong business and financial acumen; ability to exercise good business judgement.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and provides solutions.
  • Able to work in a high-paced environment handling multiple tasks, and able to maintain confidentiality of projects, legal and business information at all times.
  • Strong written and oral communication and strong command of the English language as it relates to proper grammar, punctuation and editing skills necessary in managing commercial contracts.
  • Superior organizational skills to maintain order of files and prioritize work, including time management skills and ability to handle high volume requests
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and ability to consistently produce a high-quality work under tight deadlines
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Co-Pilot and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to responsibly use AI-enabled tools to enhance analysis, reporting, workflow efficiency, and decision support while maintaining confidentiality, data integrity, and compliance with company policies.
  • Exposure to CRM tools, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, contracting software and/or SAP preferred.


  • Preferred Experience:
    • Experience with GPOs, IDNs, rebates, chargebacks, and contract pricing.
    • SAP, Power BI, and contract lifecycle management systems experience.
    • Experience leading cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
    • AI pricing optimization and modeling.
    • Experience applying AI tools or AI-enabled analytics to contract management, pricing governance, financial analysis, forecasting, process automation, or commercial decision support preferred.


Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Masters in Business Administration (MBA) preferred. Degree concentration or academic background in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or a closely related quantitative discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related work experience in a Group Purchasing Organization or Integrated Delivery Network as a Contract or Procurement Manager.
  • Experience working with a Field Sales team and senior management.
  • Background in Finance, Legal, Procurement or related background preferred.
  • Background in medical device, manufacturing, distribution, or pharmaceutical industries preferred.
  • Advanced Excel Proficiency

Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions:
  • Ensures environmental consciousness and safe practices are exhibited in decisions
  • May work extended hours during peak business cycles
  • Travel requirements for the position are up to 25%.
  • Prefer in office in Fraser, MI but remote U.S. will be considered

The salary range for this position is between $109,000 and $140,000 per year with an 8% STIP
