Manager Continuous Improvement and QMS
York, PA

Summary - The Regional Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager is responsible for driving and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement across the Regional Quality organization. The role leads regional initiatives to reduce quality-related costs and commercial changes through structured problem solving, 8D methodology, and systematic Lessons Learned processes. The position includes responsibility for coordinating and guiding local Quality functions to ensure alignment with regional objectives and consistent implementation of best practices. In addition, the role assumes regional Quality Management System (QMS) responsibilities derived from global governance to strengthen compliance, audit readiness, and management system maturity in the region.

Responsibilities
  • Define and implement the Regional CI roadmap aligned with Quality and business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain regional standards for CI methodologies, with a strong focus on 8D problem solving and Lessons Learned integration.
  • Monitor and report on CI performance metrics, including cost of quality and cost of change.
  • Lead and develop a network/team of Continuous Improvement representatives across functions, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to regional teams to build CI capabilities in structured problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Oversee regional 8D projects and ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Drive systematic Lessons Learned processes to prevent recurrence of issues and improve design and process robustness.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for cost reduction related to quality and engineering changes.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Operations to embed CI principles and structured problem solving into daily practices.
  • Act as a change agent to promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Support regional implementation and sustained adherence to globally defined QMS requirements and standards (e.g., ISO 9001/14001/45001).
  • Ensure audit readiness by embedding robust problem solving and prevention mechanisms into regional processes.
  • Train and coach regional stakeholders on QMS-related expectations as they connect to CI execution (e.g., CAPA quality, documentation discipline, prevention mindset).


Qualifications -
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in Quality and Continuous Improvement roles, with regional or multi-regional leadership exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of 8D methodology, Lessons Learned processes, Lean, Six Sigma (Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred).
  • Working knowledge of QMS expectations and audit/CAPA principles to support regional governance and readiness.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.
