Job SummaryThe Professional Services (PS) Consulting Manager serves as a key leader within our Machine Identity delivery organization, leading a high-performing team of consultants dedicated to driving customer success and service growth. This role bridges strategic leadership, business acumen, and deep technical expertise across Machine Identity Management (MIM), proprietary product suites, and custom development. As the connective tissue between customers, internal product/engineering teams, and delivery consultants, you will oversee the full engagement lifecycle-from initial scoping and technical solution design through implementation and final execution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead technical discovery, solution architecture, and scoping sessions with Sales and Customer Success teams.
- Draft and finalize Statements of Work (SOWs), resource allocations, and cost estimates for complex deployments.
- Translate operational requirements into technical roadmaps involving PKI, workload identity, and API integrations.
- Maintain end-to-end accountability for service delivery quality, project margins, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Serve as the senior escalation point for technical and operational issues during active engagements.
- Establish robust delivery methodologies and best practices to accelerate implementation cycles and improve margins.
- Manage, mentor, and build a team of MIM Consultants, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Oversee resource utilization, task assignments, and career development paths for team members.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, technical coaching, and hiring to support team scaling.
- Function as the primary bridge between field consulting operations and internal Product Management teams.
- Feed real-world implementation challenges and customer feature requests directly back into product roadmaps.
- Align with product release cycles to ensure the consulting team is trained on new software capabilities.
Qualifications Required Qualifications- 9+ years of experience in Professional Services, Technical Consulting, or Systems Integration.
- 2+ years of experience in a team leadership or direct people management role.
- Deep expertise in Machine Identity Management (MIM), PKI, SSL/TLS certificate automation, and SSH key management.
- Hands-on background in software development, REST APIs, scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Go), and enterprise integrations.
- Strong track record in SOW creation, effort estimation, margin tracking, and managing utilization targets.
- Function as the primary bridge between field consulting operations and internal Product Management and Engineering teams.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting complex technical concepts to C-level executives.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with zero-trust security frameworks and the application of Artificial Intelligence in cybersecurity, development and automation.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), and IAM platforms.
Compensation DisclosureThe compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below.
