WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Compliance Monitoring and RCM Governance Manager focused on deriving timely and actionable insights and compliance risk monitoring for the Personal Banking (PB) and Commercial Banking (CB) business.

As Manager, you will assist in the development and enhancement of Canadian Banking's monitoring compliance program. Your responsibilities include aiding in the creation and execution of an appropriate second line of defense monitoring program based on the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) program.

This role is part of the group's high profile, comprehensive and results driven Monitoring Compliance program which is paramount to CB and PBs Compliance's North Star vision and its strategic priorities and is an integral member of PB and CB Compliance's team.

This role executes against the overall Compliance Monitoring Strategy by leveraging and enhancing data and analytical capabilities that proactively identify regulatory risks and keep pace with ever-changing business, regulatory and technological trends, and advancements. The role contributes to process efficiency/effectiveness improvements, problem resolution and achievement of strategic business objectives and delivers innovative changes to support the overall Monitoring strategy. By effectively collaborating with other PB and CB Compliance team members, business and technology partners, this role will run existing and future monitoring dashboards, solve, and communicate complex business problems that support dynamic, risk based and effective regulatory risk management practices.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Personal Banking (PB) and Commercial Banking (CB) Compliance's Data and Monitoring Program
  • Meet all Enterprise standards related to the RCM Monitoring & Testing Control Standard, data governance and management, data integrity and documentation.
  • Execution of an appropriate second line of defense monitoring in line with RCM Control Standards
  • Prepare monitoring results for review by the Senior Director, Canadian Banking Compliance
  • Liaise with PB and CB Compliance team members, business, technology partners and other analytics groups.
  • Assist with developing the PB and CB Compliance Monitoring program into an integrated, efficient and effective professional practice at RBC.
  • Comply with leading compliance practices and standards and drive end-to-end transformation where possible, considering stakeholders' expectations.

RCM Governance
  • Support the proactive maintenance of the RCM programs for PB and CB, including ensuring practice hygiene and KPI metrics are adhered to.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects/project teams as needed, to represent a point of view on strategic RCM issues and/or discussions.
  • Triangulate insights across regulatory themes to identify patterns and trends that provide a holistic and integrated view of regulatory compliance risks for the business


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:
  • University Degree
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management principles
  • Experience working in a regulatory environment and/or knowledge of concepts
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Analytical thinking

Nice-to-have:
  • Knowledge of Personal Banking and Commercial Banking products and services.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Tableau and Power BI
