DescriptionHighlights of the jobAs the Manager, Commercial Services, you are accountable for the performance of the financial reporting and analysis function for Technical Services and Commercial Operations within North American Commercial Services. You use your subject matter expertise to ensure accurate and timely reporting and analysis to achieve business targets and objectives. What you'd be responsible forReporting to the Associate Director, Finance & Regional Reporting, this position is accountable for the following:
- Providing input to Technical Services and Commercial Operations' plans and directions, ensuring an appropriate understanding of the related EUI and business unit strategies and ensuring on-going effective positioning and appropriate relationships between this position and other positions at EPCOR.
- Leading and developing a strong team of employees, focusing on recruitment, retention, and development.
- Developing, implementing and reviewing Technical Services and Commercial Operations processes to ensure compliance to policies, standards, regulatory requirements and ensure mitigation of risks.
- Ensuring the timely and accurate completion of budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans for Technical Services and Commercial Operations through cooperation and collaboration with the business and within the prescribed cross-functional accountabilities.
- Ensuring the completion of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and external audit process requirements for Technical Services and Commercial Operations.
- Delivering customer focused accounting advice, analysis and technical expertise of financial systems to operations managers to support financial business processes and decisions.
- Maintaining high quality internal controls, including adherence to CSox requirements.

What's required to be successfulEducation & Designation
- Degree in the field of Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- CPA designation is required.
Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
- 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
Technical Competencies
- Demonstrated capability to apply the relevant knowledge and technical skills of financial accounting practices, policies and accounting standards under IFRS.
- Highly experienced in ERP and budgeting tools (i.e. Oracle, Workday - Adaptive, Power BI, Databricks)
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
