Job Summary: This role serves as the primary liaison between the Supply team and field Sales organizations, ensuring seamless alignment between current and future demand while preparing the supply network to meet these needs at the lowest overall delivered cost. The position is responsible for tactical and operational Supply Chain Planning and network optimization for bulk CO2 products across the U.S. and Canada. Additionally, the role identifies and evaluates long-term projects and opportunities to drive cost savings, productivity, and efficiency improvements within the CO2 supply chain. It also provides critical Supply Chain insights to support strategic growth initiatives.
Principal Responsibilities: Primary Interface between Markets/Sales Strategic Product Management and Operations for CO2
- Primary day-to-day interface with account managers and regional Markets leadership on understanding changes in customer demand that will affect the supply network configuration
- Provide product availability and costing analyses to Strategic Product Management for over DOA-based new business and investment case analyses and senior management for overall business management
- Provide CO2 outage (dislocation) costs during major outages/force majeure events for cost recovery policy defined by Strategic Product Management and Markets
Tactical Supply Chain Planning and Optimization:
- Assigns plant production rates and inventory targets in collaboration with field operations and Energy Procurement team to minimize overall product costs. This includes day-of plant turndowns/shutdowns to meet power reduction obligations and minimize/avoid peak power costs.
- Responsible for coordinating with Scheduling teams on inventory vs. alternate sourcing needs to minimize impact to customers.
- Ensures all mid- and long-term purchase agreements are utilized based on lowest total incremental costs.
- Responsible for development, use and compliance to proprietary network optimization systems (TACT), including quality of inputs and adherence to outputs.
- Execute supply reviews with field personnel and develop operational plans for Sales and Operations Planning. Sets transport resource levels required to fulfil plan while minimizing assets and costs.
Operative Supply Chain Response:

Other:
- Supervises rail logistics analyst who is responsible for daily management of the CO2 and Argon rail fleets, including ISO containers for export, optimizes CO2 rail operations and provides detailed analysis on monthly cost performance, future fleet sizing needs, operative key performance indicators and coordinates with FOB (pickup) customers.
- Responsible for developing key operational assumptions and associated costs for the annual budgeting process and on-going reforecasts, including purchases, rail shipments, planned outage (dislocation) costs

Basic Qualifications: - A bachelor's degree required, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or related field
- Minimum 7 years' experience in industrial gases or related process industry with Supply Chain Management experience
Preferred Qualifications: - S.C.P., M.B.A. and Six Sigma certification are a plus
