Full Job Description
The Manager of Cloud Ops will be responsible for managing a cross-functional, collaborative team of engineers. We are looking for dedicated, disciplined, and self-motivated individuals that are eager to face new challenges and have a passion for utilizing cloud solutions from AWS Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the scheduling and prioritization of work with the ability to react and manage competing priorities.
  • Plan, execute, and adapt project and team activities.
  • Own the quality of team deliverables.
  • Monitor and report project progress and deliverables and deadlines.
  • Mentor and assist Cloud Ops Engineers from a lead engineering perspective, provide project and career oversite and guidance to team members.
  • Work with various product teams as an embedded resource to help develop and implement comprehensive CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work to plan and build the next generation of Tyler's ERP hosting platform through careful application of IAC, Configuration Management, and Event Driven Infrastructure to deploy secure, repeatable, and resilient infrastructure as demand requires.
  • Develop tools to improve our ability to rapidly deploy and effectively monitor services in a largescale distributed environment.
  • Work with teams to architect, develop, and implement innovative software solutions related to the DevOps and Agile transformation of the division.
  • Participate in periodic on-call duties
  • Collaborate with peers both inside and outside your team to help develop these solutions.
  • Design and develop infrastructure solutions to support business functions, processes, and applications.
  • Partner with product architects and dev teams to design, recommend and implement scalable services.
  • Stay current with new technology options and vendor products.
  • Must be able to make or recommend quick decisions
  • Must be able to absorb new technologies and implement them quickly and thoroughly


Qualifications
  • BS/BA in related field or equivalent experience
  • A strong business orientation
  • Experience in the software industry deploying software products
  • Administer AWS infrastructure including Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), SC, Identity Access Management (IAM), Elastic Block Store (EBS), Security Groups, Auto Scaling, and Relational Database Service (RDS).
  • Establish federated identity solutions between on-premises and commercial clouds.
  • Develop and maintain standards for operations of core AWS components.
  • Provide analytics to leadership related to costs/capacity/administration.
  • Ability to evaluate options, analyze complex problems, present possible solutions in a simple, easily understood manner.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
