Position Summary

City of Hope is seeking a Manager, Clinical Supply & Distribution to lead the daily operations of OR surgical and medical supply ordering, inventory, receiving, storage, preparation and distribution. Working closely with the Director of Supply Chain Operations, this leader will help ensure that clinical teams have the supplies and equipment they need while advancing efficient processes, regulatory compliance and exceptional service. This is an opportunity to build strong frontline teams, collaborate with physicians and nursing leaders, and make a direct impact on patient care.

As a successful candidate, you will:
  • Lead the flow of surgical and medical materials, from forecasting and replenishment through delivery to City of Hope end users.
  • Oversee operating room surgical supplies, medical supply stores and general stores, including ordering, receiving, inventory control, recordkeeping, preparation and delivery.
  • Establish inventory controls and monitor key performance metrics to improve performance and minimize supply chain risk.
  • Prepare cost analyses and support informed decisions regarding vendors and pricing.
  • Partner with physician and nursing leadership to develop technical requirements, specifications, strategies, policies and procedures.
  • Manage departmental budgets and help ensure alignment with organizational targets.
  • Build team capabilities through training, coaching, delegation, performance management and career development.
  • Assist with market-wide policies and procedures for in-stock inventory, receiving, distribution, material processing and product returns.


Your qualifications should include:
  • Bachelor's degree in management, operations, supply chain or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics or operational supply chain roles.
  • One to three years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven success building and managing frontline teams and executing projects that support strategic business initiatives.
  • Knowledge of surgical processes, infection control, workflow principles, surgical instruments, supplies, equipment and inventory protocols.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Job Status: Full time, exempt

Salary range $97,109 - $162,172

City of Hope employees' pay is based on the following criteria: work experience, qualifications, and work location.
